I really enjoy the way we play and especially the way the boys play for each other and I imagine that's got a lot to do with what Baz has put in place.
To know who the coach is for the next two years is a great attraction for current and future players.
We can be as unsteady as hell off the field but if we have stability on it great things happen.

Given how much of our cap we are spending just to keep 2 guys away, we are definitely overachieving. I don't know how much credit to give Barrett for that but I'd imagine it's a fair bit.

The thing I am most happy about is the way our attack has been remodelled under Barrett. Those sweeping plays with Snake were simply not working anymore and Barrett has implemented a more direct method of attacking and playing off the back of off loads etc.

He's done well along with cartright. they are getting the best out of the players.. I've never seen taupau play this consistently well. Jake and Tom are playing out of there skins. dce back to good form. Walker on fire. taufua top 10 meters ran. The signing of green was a master stroke. He runs the team well and his time at storm really helped him. I really enjoy the footy we play we are easily one of the best teams to watch especially when Tommy is on field. We will be making a play for klemmer Imo we have money and need a forward so. I have a feeling the slime will somehow get him like everyone else

I would wait a bit longer, let the team improve more first. We are a chance of making the finals but any extension of his contract should not be rushed.

I would think that in times of so much instability at the executive level in recent times, extending Barrett's contract would only be good for the club and players long term. I must admit that he has brought the culture back and pride in the jersey that seemed to be missing last year. Barring injuries there is so much potential there for him make the eagles great again.

The point of attracting new players is relevant, if current players are talking him up it probably wouldn't be stupid to give him an extension to give new players certainty.

Lock him in . The players have heaps of respect for this guy , win or lose Barrett is proving a great coach . God wouldnt have done any better then him with injuries and so on last season.
