The biggest difference was in the kicking games. Basically every kick by the Qlders was spot on, and not so NSW. Pure dumb luck was part of that result, in some games every kick comes off. How NSW even stayed in the contest was amazing given the lopsided possession from the kicking games. Was surprised how much of the NSW kicking was done by Pearce.

The tries let in by NSW came from their own gross errors:
1. Cam Smith was given too much latitude (all night). Because BOTH NSW markers moved to their left, Smith moved to his left and was given a free run to the defence and a simple kick for Thurston's try.
2. Yow Yeh's try? What can you say about Morris' decision to not play for the ball? He won't do that again.
3. Beau Scott foolishly went out of the line for the big hit on Lockyer leaving Slater a free run inside. Scott holds his line and there's no gap. Also the play the ball prior Matt Scott trampled Ennis to set up the try opportunity. Ennis needed more support, Matt Scott has to be double teamed every time.

Next game, bring in Idris against Inglis, and see how Stuart's thugs go.
