Bradford/Toovey Update

Bradford started the season on -12pts and after 7 rounds are now on -4. So far, it certainly seems they will round up 2 or 3 of the bottom teams and claw their way out of the relegation zone. This week, they are up against Oldham who have only managed one win and a draw who are running 9th on the table. The 10th place team is on 2 points and the 11th placed team is on zero. The next 3 matches sees Bradford against teams in 7th, 8th & 9th and there would be an expectation of a couple of wins before they hit two teams currently running equal 2nd, however, Bradford has already beaten one of them, Toulouse, in Round 4.
There is no mention of Toovey as the head coach since the end of January. I assume he hasn't sorted his visa.

Thanks eagle66, great update.
I'll nominate you as the weekly Tooves updater.
Any seconders??
They keep putting things like " coach in waiting " etc. In brackets and inverted commas in reports so he must have a fair involvement in the team.
A great job so far, he'll be the king of Bradford if he can pull that one off.

Yes I'll second that.
Great update.
I don't know why his visa is
taking so long? Maybe Zorba has some contacts in the UK immigration?@:mask:

Keeping them out of relegation will be a huge boost and then they can start on recruiting some better than average players for next year to try to go up.

Must be hard to recruit players when you're in division one.

Lets hope they can get within reach next year. It'll be a great achievement if they can move up to Super League in 2019.

Narrow loss to Oldham (9th) 22-26. Fortunately, 10th Swinton and 11th Deswbury both lost. 7th, 8th & 9th positioned teams all won opening up the gap from the bottom 3 teams.
Bradford's for& against is +2 and this will be the equivalent of a win when it gets down to the end of the season. Dewsbury is -228 and Swinton is -51.

Imagine Bradford getting back to Super league, then winning the title. Hollywood would buy the movie rights (the place, not Greg Hartley). The movie will simply be called 'Tooves'...master coach!

Sky show 2-3 games at best from the SL, nothing from the Championship. Prem Sports are showing Toronto games from League 1 (div 3 basically).

A lot of Championship clubs live stream these days and or produce in house highlights packages for their web sites / social media.

I wish Fox would show the games, I would record and watch them at a decent time

Not sure if its still the case, but i know it was not long ago. Not even all super league games were properly filmed for general broadcast, so chances of Championship division being extensively broadcast are next to nil.

I reckon Daniel Craig would play the lead role pretty well.
Bit of a resemblance.
