As per a Manly Club tweet during the early kurfuffle over the Stewart boys and Canterbury;

The Manly club issued a statement in regards to the talk of both brothers wanting out of the club Thursday via their Twitter account on Thursday.

“Contrary to speculation on @triplemsport we are progressing with Brett Stewart and Glenn is contracted till the end of 2014,” the Sea Eagles' official Twitter stated.

For what it's worth that was reported by SportsNewsFirst only, and was published Feb 9th 2012.

So that would indicate the club were "progressing with Brett Stewart" since early Feb 2012. 6 months down the track and still no announcement. That has to raise concern.

First post in a while and suprise suprise its about Manly's contract issues.

Great to see Mrs I back. Hasnt got too many complimentary things to say about this site and it's posters back on The Kennel. The little charade continues.

Pretty amazing that he gets a permaban over myself, but the guys a loose cannon.

his one month ban expired today

Ban expired 22nd of July IIRC.

Glad to see a warm reception still here for me (by some) upon my rearrival (sarcasm intended).

Good to see Stewart back and fit for Manly. Will be interesting to see how the team lifts with him at fullback. Will at least take some pressure off Tafua under the high ball.

The main point for HH post was to confirm Glenns contract situation, not Bretts.

If I might make the following suggestions.

Why not just post here with football discussion when you need to & leave the main trouble making issues, such as Manly contract signings & Des Hasler behind at the Kennel.

Easily done and avoids causing upheaval & consternation for the Manly faithful here.
