Bryce Cartwright

Bloke was one last contract away from retirement. Understandable he wanted to get the best he could for his families future. I say good luck to him, which I'm sure is the sentiment shared by most on here.
Would agree with that ... right up to the point of not turning up to training and reportedly playing "hardball" to force an exit.

He was happy enough to sign for 2 years when Storm didn't resign him, and was happy enough to stay before Warriors threw the deal to him. Manly was a wonderful club and he loves playing with the guys and Baz is achieving great things.

Manly would have probably have let him go, but we will never know because he didn't ask, he just forced their hand.

There is a difference between asking for a release because it is good for the families future ... and acting like an entitled mercenary c***.

But that is just my opinion.

I couldn't imagine anyone on here having any ill will towards a 6 who leaves the club because it's what's best for his family...

I personally hope Green does just as well as the last 6 who left us for those reasons.

You're one last pay cheque away from retirement and someone offers you a lot money and the chance to play on a bit longer. But to avoid butt hurt on some fan forum you just be a good boy and play nice. Then once you retire, no one gives a **** about you anymore. These guys play in a short window of time, then get discarded and mostly forgotten. As a man, he did what was best for his family, which is priority number one. I say good luck to the bloke.

You do every thing you can within the confines of your legal, moral and ethical responsibilities .... otherwise you are just a C***.

I think the Riff are ready to implode, or perhaps they already have.

Interesting times ahead for season 2018 for the Choccy Soldiers.
I think the attitude of the Gould Penrith football club is you either fit in our culture or you get out . You could be right and I could be wrong feathered friend

Are we on the right track with Cartwright .... all I am aware of is he had a rather messy relationship bust up with a tragic ending ...

I am not aware of him going out getting blotto, getting into fights or hanging around with known gang members and drug dealers.

It may be just a case of living in the same area all his life and is tired of the fishbowl, a new start with fresh surroundings and new people in his life might just be what he needs ....

PSS If I am wrong and he has a track record of being a goose I withdraw the above comments.

Just cheated on gf who posted pornographic images of him online and paid her hush money to have abortions. Allegedly. I feel he’s the victim here.
