Would love to see him back at Manly in 2019, as much for his leadership/club-man qualities, as for his ability to play the No.14 role as back-up hooker or backrower (particular if Brown goes, as hoped).

He's the type of Manly person we need at club now and surely wouldn't cost a lot given two seasons at Knights.

Personally, I think its time to move on from the Buhrer/Gutherson stuff.

Buhrer was a great clubman, but he is older and definitely still injury prone.

I do however, love the idea of Winterstein heading to Newcastle (or anywhere).

Buhrer rarely made the knights full strength starting 13. He's not the player we need. For all the chat on here, the only player that has reallt kicked on since leaving us through all this is Gutherson, who wouldn't be playing fullback for us. And Turbo is ahead of him in every other back line position as evidenced by his NSW and Australian call ups... Coaching is the issue, not recruitment.

I would love to see him back, he would make a great 14, but I think his off field influence for the younger players would be invaluable.

Jaime truly loves this club. He would be good for the younger players and would serve as a reminder that players that leave this club don’t always go on to greener pastures. He would instill the right gratitude, appreciation and attitude that these young guns should be around. If he never made it back I wouldn’t be upset but it would be a great addition to the squad and bring a reminder of our past success.
If Ballin or Donny Singe become the new strength and conditioning coaches we could hopefully keep him injury free but regardless his off field work with players and sponsors would be highly welcomed. It’s a slight shame he extended his contract at the knights for the 2019 season but ‘contract shmontract’ it’s the NRL. His wife Grace could say she needs to be closer to family for support with her kids : )
