I would love a Liam Martin or Kikau too but it is not like Ben is holding one out of 1st grade… his brother in law is a much bigger issue than Ben and MCK may deserve a run at this point…

Please can this be the last time Burbo is put in the centres even as a stopgap? Bullemor has some leg speed - why not him? I know he's a middle but seriously how often can Burbo be burned? How about Haumole? Or Navale if you picked him instead of Waddle?

I did,like every game the past 40 odd years and what I saw was a player that has improved immeasurably,asked to play a position he is no longer suited to because he’s bulked up to suit the position he currently plays.

Burbo has been playing good and showing signs of improvement this season, he looks like he belongs a lot more this year.

I've gone over the stats before but he's still on a 0% WLR when starting at or moving out to centre for injury cover, cause he's not a centre, and he cops a caning every time he fills in there.

Tonight was a squad selection issue. TT2 should be a permanent benchie who gets used to give edge forwards a break unless he's required in the backline due to an injury, either that or Chee Kam should've been in for Waddell due to his versatility. Burbo is not sufficient centre cover now, just like he never has been before.

tl;dr Siebs got out coached again, but we'll win next week before going on to lose the following - repeating this pattern til the season is over or we crash out week 1 of the finals.

Tonight proves he is liability - I cannot fathom how anyone rates him. Only there to appease Tom and Jake.

You are so wrong. Blame Seibold for not carrying someone on the bench that can actually play centre and quick enough to defend in that position. Ben is not that person. But whenever we have a back go down, out Ben goes and he gets exposed.
If that reshuffle is our best option, then we've got to carry a faster person on the bench because it's killing us everytime it happens.

I’ve been a critic for Burbo’s for a while but he did have a strong few weeks before last night so I’m not going to hold it against him. Everyone but Seibold knows it’s been a disaster every time he’s moved to the centres and that’s what happened last night, absolutely fried by 34 year old Dane Gagai. Ironically we were the ones taking advantage of a centre mismatch in the first half with Garrick on Schiller.

Bigger issue is the only other second rower in the squad being Waddell. You lose one back early and now this bloke is playing nearly a full game on the edge. Have him defending next to Burbo and even the worst teams in the comp can exploit that, as we saw the Knights do last night. Give Chee Kam a run or sign someone else.

Personally I would rate Scott Sorenson superior to Ben (but not much) and Burbo is certainly no worse a player than Shawn Blore, Jacob Host or Jaeman Salmon (who all played in recent Grand Finals)… in the salary-cap era (unless you have a sombrero) you simply HAVE to have blokes in your squad (generally in and around the forwards) that can do a role but are not stars…

Burbo’s form over the last month or two (particularly whilst dealing with injuries) tells me that he can fill that role…

Agree he is not going to be Tom or even (high-watermark) Jake level and no doubt we need to strengthen our forward rotation but we are playing with our second stringers atm… Jazz (a lock) and Bully (bench forward) were our starting props and we had Brown and the duck on our bench… I love BFB but he is not exactly bending the line and really just plays a linkman role ala Jake when he comes on…

Ben runs a nice line, is tackling well and not giving away penalties anymore and he has the upside that he is young and improving… he is just not a centre and got exposed because of a sh*t call by the coach (not that I know what Seibs was meant to do, we are running out of stocks at this point)

Waddell just is not having an impact… I quite liked what Corey v1.0 brought to the team but not sure they got it right when they bought him back from the dogs…

Seen Chee Kam in the Reserves this year? - totally non involved - got punted by Souths for a reason.
