Can’t believe we’re 6th

**** comp this year. The team coming 1st got touched up by the Broncos a couple of weeks ago. Just look at the top 3 none of them are formidable.

1. Canterbury
2. Warriors
3. Canberra

Melbourne looking shaky but will be the team to beat come finals time. Penrith are languishing.
I'd argue its a great comp when anyone is in it and 2 or 3 teams dont dominate.

Form right now not key as long as you keep on picking up points.

Seibold (or Spoony/Seidud as per the Seibold Scavengers) needs to be sacked asap
DCE is a headless chicken and checked out
Tom is busted and Jake is a complete plodder and both should be medically retired
Our first choice hooker hasn't been seen, and our best 2 props have barely been sighted this year
Ben T wouldn't get a run if it wasn't for his last name
The recruitment/retention is pathetic buying old plodders.
Tommy Talau who was arguably our most consistent back last year has played 1 game

I've read this and a lot more on the forum in the last month or so (and some of it is indeed factual)

.....and yet there are 12 teams below us on the ladder!

Imagine how their supporters feel

This shows what an "open season" we got in 2025.
There are teams lagging bottom 4 who lost games by 1,2 and 4 points and could be sitting top 6 also with just results a bit different.
The 2nd half season there should be a breakaway Top 4-5....and the other teams will fight for that finals positions 5 - 8, Manly likely 1 of these...

Good Morning feathered friend and Singing Sensation Maxta
Your post has reminded me of an old classic song by the Beastie Boys
called ....
You gotta FIGHT for your right to party

Lets put up a good FIGHT Manly !!!

Two points will be Served to us by the last placed Eels On our Sivertails Platter
Can not get any easier than that for Seibold

Honestly the frustrating thing is we are one Turbo getting fit run away from being a decent player (not to win it but at least get to the more pointy end)

For mind I think there is a heap of hype over the dogs but i am not sold that they can win when it comes to the semis due to a lack of quality at 7 & 1 (good players but not great)

I honestly reckon losing Tent was the point where our chance to make a run at it was lost… our forwards are not a strong enough unit to lose our pack leader… we can’t compete without that metre eater that draws multiple defenders…

Turbo being sub-optimal is obviously not ideal either…

Would think that the Roosters should eventually get or finish into the 8 , not sure about Souths and the Panthers .
Current top 5 sides should be expected to make the cut , unless the Warriors and Raiders have a late season fade out .
Not sure about the Cows but Manly , just like a host of sides either just in or slightly out of the 8 can really not afford that many future setbacks

It is obvious but we have to win these origin period games with only DCE out against teams that in theory we should be able to beat. Our next five games Eels (A), Broncos (H), Knights (A), Titans (A), Tigers (H) and than after that we have Storm, Bulldogs, Roosters and Raiders.

With Carrigan and Haas a bit busted surely they dont back up.

I think they can win the comp and I think they think they can too. Plenty laughed at their recruitment strategy (edit - including me!) but turns out it was a great strategy. Whether Ciraldo or Gould or more likely both were in on it.
I've been waiting for the bubble to burst but ... it won't! Touched up v Broncs yet came back to win the 2nd half, and recent games v Raiders and Chooks shows that was no fluke.

(So at this stage I reckon Dog v Manly Gf) (with Manly to win via a Tolu Koula classic move) 🙂

I dont think so personally. I'm with Isz.

Think they have a bit of the Sharks of the last few years about them.

On the big stage in the finals up against a Storm or Panthers etc I dont think that have that next level.

I just think that when it comes down to the very tight big games they lack a bit of class.

At the moment they remind me of the sharks before they added AFB to their pack. A very good team that does not have another "level" come semi final time.

All that said I am not sure i know a heap about NRL so there is a more than a fair chance I am very very wrong

You mean they'll be found rorting the salary cap system for the years both leading up to and after they win the premiership.....but were totally under the cap the one year they won??

lol
