JAMIE Lyon's brief yet successful stint at five-eighth appears to be over.
Despite wearing No. 6 in last year's Grand Final win, Lyon is ready to be shifted back to centre for this season.
New recruit Chris Bailey, the former Knight, showed he was ready to play five-eighth this season after a highly successful debut in Manly's 34-26 win over Harlequins in London yesterday morning.
The match was a warm-up to the World Club Challenge match against Leeds on Sunday morning.
Bailey showed great skills in London and is poised to join skipper Matt Orford at the scrum-base this season. It would push Lyon back to centre alongside Steve Matai, another stand-out performance against Harlequins.
The Sea Eagles sent out an inexperienced side in the first half before fielding a near full-strength side, which overhauled a 20-0 deficit after halftime.
