Malcolm Reilly is still recovering from a cancer scare that required surgery in England earlier this year.

He never gave up on the field. If anyone could beat cancer it'd be Mal Reilly.

It is ordinary to leave the field. I'd say the players got the wrong advice from someone to leave the field, otherwise if players just started walking off you'd think dce and Jake would understand that they stay to the end.

Yeah, its not as serious, but the club have long known the etiquette when playing for the Mal Reilly and Steve Rogers trophy, its not like this was new to them and they were unsure of what happens

I didn't mean that the players asked for advice. What I meant was, they were advised by someone in the club to start heading to the sheds, which yeah, it's an average look.

Fair enough.. I am outraged sorry.. This stuff p1sses me off, as a club we do f#ck all. Its not hard to be a respectful club, to respect a club legend.

Would never happen in Rugby or AFL, sometimes Rugba Leeg is so amateur in these things.

You would think the captain of how many years might have had an idea about the presentation…..

Manly these days is not always the most professional of clubs, a couple of years ago the team turned up late for their own semi final.

I would say we are a basket case and have been that way since 2014 when a certain person took major ownership.

revolving door of coaches and only 5 finals apperances in those 11 seasons.

If it wasn't for the tigers and dragons in recent times the media would be all over us.

The fish rots from the head up and in our clubs case it is Penn Sport

i heard an interview with his son, he said mal has also got dementia, so each time he gets a letter/card wishing him well they have to explain to him about the cancer.
he only spoke out to ask people to stop sending 'get well' cards.
very sad.
