The boys surprised me last night. I never thought we were going to be flogged and even believed we were a good chance to win if we got on a roll. But I certainly wasn't expecting us to win in the manner we did.which was very tough and defensively outstanding on a hot, humid night. The players lifted for Siebold and his coaching team.

That's okay Leonidas and his 300 were greatly outnumbered by the philosophers and progressives in Athens. They slayed Xerxes Persians for fun while the lefties wrote poetry and lay with boys in Greek cities.

Yeah, those Greek lefties were probably busy protesting back in Athens for an open border welcome for Xerxes and his diverse group of immigrants. In the interest of historical accuracy I should remind you that our hero Leonidas did eventually get his arse kicked, but at least he went down like a man.

Ahh the pioneer tavern... Wasn't that a great place in the 90s to just sit, drink and listen to stories, which were interrupted with an occasional blue in the car park whence the combatants would return to continue drinking.

We held my son's joint holy-communion there as well, they did very well accommodating quite a large number of people.
