What I love most about Jim, is he doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to the many addictions he’s faced, and just as importantly, his continued battles with mental illnesses. In one of his very first specials I remember watching, he took on the stigmazation that still effects mental health, and the on going help and effort needed to de-stigmatise these conditions. He certainly shoots from the hip.
The yanks absolutely love him…..seriously he did a cpl shows in the gun-toting capital of gun religion…Texas. And he started giving them a lecture on how fuucked up their gun culture is. I was cringing when I watched it, I was just waiting for a good ‘ol boy to get up and put a cpl rounds into him. But that’s Jim. He doesn’t give a fuuck. If he believes in it, he will talk about it regardless.
