Hiku will move to centre when Matai ends his career at the warriors. Wolfman won't be back. He has lost his mojo since last years gf (and a yard of pace) his defensive lapses aren't tolerable anymore and I have as many recollections of him overrunning a brilliant Jamie Lyon pass as catching one and scoring. He was great in 08 and 09 suffered some harsh injuries but has achieved everything in the game. He should finish in the uk or France and enjoy the next couepleof years.

Is Hiku good at the 'draw and pass' when playing centre? I can recall a few times where he held onto it rather than passing to an open outside man.

He'll learn. He's too clever to be just a wingman. In a year or two I think he'll be outstanding. The way I see it, centre will be his position with young Tom Terrific on the rise for the full back spot. I think Gutherson will end up a wing-centre man

Good to see young Gutherson got a run last week even if it wasnt his best game. He's getting there though and probably the coaching staff have been sensible in keeping him back to learn his skills in safer territory.

Agreed about Williams and wouldnt be surprised if he is 'encouraged' to seek greener pastures overseas, rather than finish his last year of his contract with the reserves.

1. Trbojevic
2. Tafua
3. Hiku
4. Gutherson
5. Who knows.
6. Foran
7. Cherry Evans

Future looks not so bad considering we have all these players already. I am sure when the oldies retire we will be buying a few more established players as well.

I get the feeling the boots of the wolf will be hung up at season's end and he'll slip into media. Injuries taking a toll, and on field confidence affected because of it. His on field body language is a shadow of what it once was. Hopefully he is fine off the field.

If he wanted to pursue 1st grade for a couple more years I think he would've been off elsewhere before the June 30 deadline for a fresh start and maybe a re-gain of confidence, knowing he had moved down the order with us and game time probably unlikely here.

Surely he would've been useful to another club and I don't think we would've stood in his way had an offer come up. So either
1. No offers were forthcoming.
2. he's happy to stick where he is / see's retirement ahead, or
3. Wants to prove a point and fight his way back.

Would love to see him turn it all around and get back to where he was, but I'm not sure I can see it. Hasn't exactly been setting NSW Cup on fire and these young guys are doing well while gaining great experience.

Whatever his future may be, it would be nice to see him still associated with the club in some capacity. He'd make a great 'Social' face for the club, doing video interviews and whatnot all year round, and maybe hosting some game day entertainment type stuff.

Swap Gutho and Turbo Jr.
Gutho has been brought through as the next fullback. TJ is young enough to be remodelled into whatever is needed. Besides, Gutho is too damned good not to be playing his preferred position. It's like bringing DCE in as an impact dummy half because we decided to keep Hodko, Lunacy!!!!

Yes, Sterlo mentioned on 9 that we've been grooming Gutho as the next fullback. Judging by the size of TJ, we should be thinking edge running back rower.

For years. The Manly Daily was doing stories on him when he was 14.
Other clubs have been after Gutherson since 14's and I think he's bee working with Snake since then too.
These kids don't come out of nowhere.

I'd still like to see Gutherson bulk up a little for first grade. No doubt he has some class but I expected him to get tossed over the sideline with every tackle.

Maybe throw John Hopoate (Jr) into this mix later on too.

Im sure Gutherson has plenty of potential, but I am yet to see enough from him to be raving about him as the next superstar just yet. Plenty have come through the grades with huge reputations before and struggled a bit

'Who Knows', and I say that winger position should go to Jacob Gagan who was in our system until we released him to the Gummies. We need to lure him back - he is a very good player, as he has shown in Cronulla's last two wins..

From what I have seen of Turbo Jnr and Gutho. In my opinion I think Turbo will be the better player. He has the 'it' factor. He has speed which is a must as a full back. I think Gutherson will end up in the centres ala Dugan. Time will tell.

Gutho doesn't give us the starts to our sets Jorge does, the roll on Matai and Jorge get in combination goes along way to making up for some of our forward deficiencies

True but from what I have seen in his first couple of NRL games he is better than Jorge under the high ball.

Hiku was terrible on Friday night. He'd be more at risk than Jorge.

Gutherson's a fullback and young.

Hiku's a handy 5/8 or (slow) fullback - backup.
Don't rate him at all.

I prefer specialists in all posi's so I'd use Berryman to partner fit Jorge.

And when choc and gift return, I'd also give Andrews & Sao opportunities, ahead of;
