Only short but interesting.
The girls really ask some good questions each week but this time was a lot about DCE and his relationship with the media.
He's a private sort of bloke but really seemed to have to keep justifying himself on why the media see him as they do.
He said he has built a bit of a wall within his personality to protect himself from the scrutiny I don't think he sees his perception by them changing any time soon.
Said he and the players really enjoy the environment at Manly.

How the fck does anyone, especially someone who had an orchestrated media campaign against him, answer that

Chez just kept repeating 'I'm not changing who I am'

But the women all took turns asking the same question

The gist is that Chez is happy and Baz has helped craft a culture of inclusion

The man is well spoken and well educated , alot of people don't like that and will try and bring him down, but he is to smart . I love him as our captain and wouldn't have it any other way. Dce is the man.

I've rekindled my love of DCE this past season. I was a massive massive Foran fan and obviously the Stewarts, Choc and Skivvy were my heroes so it was hard warming to a player that appeared to be in direct opposition to that crew.

When he burst onto the scene I was a massive fan and then when all the nonsense played out in the media and his contract backflip and the parading around Cronulla really tested my faith in him.

Well, he has certainly put all that to bed. Nothing like playing good football to win over the fans. He has had a stellar year and returned to the elite class of halves.

Nice words Snake. I've had my issues with DCE but reading your post and it's insights I too have realised I was wrong, I was swayed by the media bollocks and have come to realise he's a really classy, strong man with tons of talent and commitment to Manly and it's culture.

D C E definitely received some or much unwarranted criticism and unfavorable treatment with his whole previous contract saga . When the Manly club made their initial offer in late 2014 and apparently in the vicinity of some 850 grand , he was prepared to accept almost immediately to stay with the club , The same money was apparently offered to Foran and he declined or prevaricated or whatever at the same time. D C E could then be hardly blamed with all of the resulting confusion and uncertainty with the subsequent contract arrangements and then when he was presented with some alternative offers . Anyway then and as is the case now , of course he still managed to conduct himself with good integrity and dignity and with his eventual decision to stay with Manly . Now of course a highly respected captain .and every prospect that he can continue with his exceptional form to help guide our Manly boys to play their best footy in this final"s series .

Just watched the interview on the replay. The poor guy just got asked the same question but in other ways. Nothing really about finals football except for the last 1 min. Was a pretty disgrasful 30mins of football jornalisim.
Then The poor guy was asked what he thought of sCam plus paraded with how good the sCam is and what he means to him and the game.

"Oh by the way ladies, who designed the outfits you're wearing? How many children do you each have? Is it hard trying to juggle motherhood and a career? What do you say to people who think you shouldn't work when you have children as you should be at home looking after them?"

"What...you're sick of those questions? Interesting."

More to the point. DCE is 'a' man. He speaks with the respect you would want from your own son and expect from intelligent people in life.

The neanderthalic brains trust of the NRL media, largely run by ex footballers expext 30 year old teenagers that would rather piss it up and joke around and 'who dont speak real gud', than an articulate, polite a well mannered very good footballer and family man.

Its a credit to cherry that he doesnt just put on a show for these womans-day-esq football programs just to get away from the stupid catty questions of 'why does nobody like you'.

Personally, I can't stand the women's forum on FOX. I really miss the days when a footy show just talked about footy. Hadleys show is now a song & joke routine with a game thrown in the middle whilst everyone else seems to be auditioning for a role as a comedian. Someone reincarnate Rex Mossop for gods sake!
