I’d forgive Choc, if he apologised and acknowledged the things that you point out.

Something like: “I’d like to apologise to Manly and the players I’ve bagged as well as the fans who always supported me 100%. The club really gave me so much and I am very grateful. The thing is, I am just a bit of a d!ckhead who happened to be really good at footy. I can’t promise I won’t be a bit of a d!ckhead in the future, but I will try.”

That would be sufficient for me.
