Australia again struggled against spin as they suffered their first T20 cricket loss to Bangladesh, crashing to a 23-run loss after chasing a modest target in the opening game of a five-match series in Dhaka.
It is the first bilateral T20 series between the two nations, with Australia having won each of their four World Cup encounters against Bangladesh.
As it was in last month’s series against the West Indies, Australia’s struggles against spin were evident. Bangladesh bowled 13 overs of spin and their slow bowlers took the first six wickets, with their two left arm quicks mopping up the tail.

OMFG...

Bangladesh recovered from a shaky 5-67 to beat Australia by five wickets Wednesday and go up 2-0 in the five-match Twenty20 series.

A 56-run partnership by Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan for an undefeated sixth-wicket stand proved to be key as Australia was in a favorable position to level the series despite being restricted to 7-121.

Bangladesh reached the winning mark with eight balls remaining.

lol

Bangladesh win the 5 game series 3-0 against Aust.

Eng bought (or developed) a spin machine to practice spin when Warnie was king..

Maybe aust need to do the same (surely they do already)

It's like when a park cricketer throws a few revolutions on the ball, aust tumble like a badly constructed Jenga tower in a cyclone.

just terrible

Go NZ

Now it's just ****ing embarrassing

Left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan returned a remarkable figure of 4-9 as Bangladesh held Australia to its lowest Twenty20 cricket score in winning the final game of their series by 60 runs on Monday.

Shakib became the second bowler to take 100 T20 wickets, after Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga, as Bangladesh defended 8-122 by bowling Australia out for 62 in 13.4 overs.
