Certainly no excuses with SOO
The 2 Eels out Moses and Lomax have been the 1 bright light, while I reckon the Manly game plan will now simplify which in a way will be a more disciplined maybe direct style
Manly if serious should get home here

A solid-looking Manly side that should get the job done against a Parra side missing their only two worthwhile players for this year. Two players on our bench returning from a long lay-off is probably one more than I would like. But that team should get a job done. Interesting to watch Lodge, he is the very definition of Rocks and (very occasionally) Diamonds but generally does seem to start well.

That's a very experienced looking bench. Hope the old timers can bring the energy too
You're certainly correct with the experienced and old timers reference. Throw in TKO and Tevaga as starters and it really highlights just how much rejuvenation this team needs.

We're going to miss Bulle's leg speed from the bench but he deserves to start. Brown might give us some for a short stint and Waddell was pretty honest on the weekend. But Lodge and Crokes are unknowns until we see what shape they're in.

Paulo and Hopgoods offloads could be the undoing of our older and less match fit players. They really need to shut those down. If they can do that, I reckon they can get it done. 🤞

Remember mate he injured himself playing for us! Up until that injury he was one of our better forwards & for mine has been since the rainbow drama, of which I’m still not convinced he was the one behind the players refusing to play!
We will need him firing if we want to make an impact this year.

Only having a cynical dig out of frustration MM, I'm with you on Ailoi, he was starting to hit his straps then his injury curse comes along again, same with Paseka. Rainbow gate was a seperate thing, not sure what this has to do with Ailoi being injured.

Probably best for Arthur to play just a simplified type role , attack and organizing wise and ideally to hold his own defensively .
Probably still has not bad footwork close to the line and that could be a slightly different matter when well in the Eels red zone and maybe occasionally taking on the defence .
Looks like most of the clearance kicks will be down to Brooks .
Should have it in their measure if the pack aims up again and the same willing defence is on show from the whole squad .
Definitely would not underestimate the Eels , looks like their enthusiasm and form level is up a notch or two and will most likely try to make a fight of it .
Big boost if Turbo can go that bit better and move on in a positive way from non inclusion in the rep side .

Eels are certainly having more of a dig. Win won’t come easy, but if we are Fairdinkum we should still win and reasonably comfortably, provided we put in. It’s basically a better side than the Panthers game and at the same venue. Like others have said consistency is the key. We turn up like Penrith game we’ll win.

1. Turbo/Hoppa
2. Talau
3. Garrick
4. Koula
5. Saab
6. Hoppa/Turbo
7. Brooks

That would've been my selection, but I know diddlysquat
