Sometimes I forget how nice 'home' is.

Rant:

so the NRL is shown on the "sportsnet world" channel in canada.

"sportsnet world" is offered to all the pay tv carriers, for example:
Rogers, Telus, Bell (etc). Not all carriers cover all areas.

However, "Sportsnet World" is actually owned by Rogers.

Rogers recently changed their channel offering so that now all the NRL is shown on a channel called "Sportsnet World ONE."

BUT "Sportsnet world ONE" is primarily a 'streaming service' and not a tv channel.

And not all pay tv carriers will take up the option to include a Rogers streaming service in their channel offering.

So my problem is this:
1) I used to get the nrl on Telus for $17 a month on an actual tv channel.
2) Telus does not offer the Rogers streaming service.
3) To watch the NRL in Canada I would have to pay $25 a month to have it 'streamed via Rogers' "sportsnet world one' channel.
4)If I was a customer of Rogers, it would be offered to me on a tv channel but not all areas have Rogers. I can't get Rogers in my area.
5) I can't use livestream or anything like that because I'm in Canada.



So this post is two fold:
1) To have a rant to you guys, and
2)To see if my complaint makes sense as I plan to email it to the NRL. I realize nothing will happen but I will still ask for the NRL to try and get some more reasonable option re-instated.

Otherwise it's 'other options' for me.

Thought? Help? Money?
