His younger brother got banned by ASADA for drug use!!!! I can't help but laugh at his comments against drug use in the media last week lololol.. Hypocrite!!

"Peter Gallen, the younger brother of Cronulla NRL captain Paul, is serving a two-year ban for doping.
Gallen was suspended on June 5 last year while playing with Rockhampton-based Queensland Cup side Central Queensland Capras.
The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority made details of the ban public on Friday.
Gallen, 26, tested positive for dimethylpentylamine, a performance-enhancing substance sometimes found in body-building supplements.
His suspension ends mid-way through 2018.
Paul Gallen served what was effectively a three-match NRL ban before the end of the 2014 NRL season.
He was one of a dozen Sharks players from their 2011 squad to receive the 12-month back-dated bans for using prohibited substances."

Whilst the news is amusing, this substance is actually found in a number of pre-workout supplements that are sold over the counter or online. I think that it has been banned (maybe 1-2 years ago) in Australia but people still have products they may have bought and not used. It is still available in the US for example.

Whilst it is a banned substance by ASADA, it is hardly anything that would have improved his on field performance by any real margin. Still, he should know better but probably didn't think to look at the contents.

How embarrassing for poor old Paul. If I was him, I would change my name by deed poll to Paul Litre - just to displace myself from the opprobrium.
