Im in the stuff him camp.

A professional sportsman that doesnt turn up to a contractual meeting is unprofessional. We dont want unprofessionals in our roster.

Keeping Foran is vastly more important.

Couldn't agree more put the cash towards keeping Keiran Foran

Anyway Crusher would probably be happy to have the whole family stay at his place... at least we don't have long to wait for this soap opera CW  ;D

Remember in 2004 when Mal Kafusi used to travel from Cambelltown both ways for training as well as having another job? 10 pts for commitment.....OK a bit in the Neumann category skillswise but bloody hell his heart was in it for Manly!

Poor old Joe, who portrays himself as a good honest christian, but looks like a money hungry grub. He's been on a 350k contract for the past few seasons when he was at souths and prepared to play for their feeder club because he couldn't crack 1st grade. Now he's baulking at the Manly contract because he has to travel to Manly from the west or stay at crusher's place. All too hard for Joe and with that attitude I hope he stays at the Eels.

Let's look for a younger replacement who would be happy to play for 125k per season.

You cant fault a guy for putting his family first
I get sick of this stuff Dan, how many posters here earn over 100k per year? I don't blame players for going for the best deal but if they don't put in after signing the contract then I have my reservations.

As you said let's pull the contract off the table as I believe Joe hasn't got the right attitude to put on a Manly jumper.

BTW Dan if he was putting his family first why is he baulking at it. He'll probably be offered less to stay at the Eels.
If he loses say 25k it would be worth it, its going to cost him  crap load to uproot his faliy, and if he doesnt he doesnt spend as much time with them

I am not saying that he has done the right thing, but we can not on the one hand congratulate Lyon for being a family man and criticize someone else for doing the same
Well, if his has a problem tell the club. As far as I know he didn't show for the signing or let the club know. If that's true then faaark  him.
I agree stuff him, i have said that several times, he should have at least called and let someone know, but you cant fault him for wanting to be nearer his family

CW - he agreed to the deal then didnt sign.  The manager didnt know he weas fronting from what I hear

I don't know the details. I just know that many players can hardly put a sentence together without a manager and they act on advice much of the time.

If he doesn't want to sign, see you later!!!!

What to do, do you sign with them or go with the new offer ? Has anyone ever been in this type of situation ? If yes, please explain.

Give the guy a break, from all accounts he is deciding whether to continue or retire.

Without a car it will be pretty hard for him to get to Narrabeen from St marys every days by public transport.

with an attitude like that.

Well St Mary's to Sunshine Coast is a long way.

this comment may have a bit more relevance than driving over the spit a few times a week.

he could well have been in reggies for a bit of the time.

If he does come on board he should move from Parramatta to Parra-dise.

Try someone younger and come Origin time next season with Stewart, Hall, Cuthbertson and Watmough not there we have a bloody inexperienced back row

Phil Morewood can fill in a second row spot.  He has lots of experience.

Was gonna put Shipway in there, but he wasn't too bad at the time

Fro, don't be like that, I'm only 274 Kilometres out, and that's nothing to those hardy souls in the bush.
