Can anyone expand on this, did Gibbsy get dropped from Sports Today?? Or was the whole show just cut? I used to enjoy that show with himself and Brandy Alexander when i lived in Sydney

I enjoyed it too. Last year Brandy left and Gibbsy did Sports Today on his own. Then late last year Gibbsy was punted as 'management had decided to go in a new direction'. Sadly and against his will, he left 2UE after 30 odd years.

Captain Risky looks a hell of a lot like a well known regular from the old Narrabeen Antler. I reckon he'd make a great announcer too.

Well good luck to goldie with his retirement. I certainly liked hearing his voice in the background on the tele....and also glad to have heard him live even if it was just the once.
