Gus is not a fool. That 5-year plan at the Panthers may not be all him, but the fruits are paying off right now. Their depth is insane.

If Gould can get the Dog's youth-system and junior-recruitment on track, then at least the future might be brighter than it is now, with Barrett trying to moneyball a team based not off stats, but off his random-select of decent individual talent - with no thought of the wider team cohesion.

Barrett is getting some decent individual signings - on paper. Arguably he has recruited stronger individual players for 2022 than Des has.

Bellamy doesn't recruit names, he recruits positions based off attitude and potential - then he makes them a name.

Funny thing about a 17-man game is that most of the time it isn't won by 1 player/signing. (Shut up Turbo....)
