I doubt it. Dubai is very strongly tied to many western countries. they would want to keep those ties and they would be part o dubai!

On the mini Dubai island, will they have an even smaller world islands?

I watched a travle show a couple of weeks back that featured a secion on Dubai and their tourism and it looks like a great place. I will surly make sure this country is on my list when I start looking at traveling in the future.
