He was by no means the worst player on the field tonight. Big units are always gonna miss tackles. Expect it.

I'd rather him on our team than have him playing against us.

Disagree. He's paid a 6 figure sum to play NRL. Make that tackle....they are expected to "miss" tackles - LoL

Don't let us fall back to 2006 thinking.

There were guys on the paddock tonight earning three times what Williams earns who had worse game. If you ever played mate you know you will drop the ball, miss tackles, miss kicks from in front, throw forward passes, get disorientated & play the ball in the wrong direction, drop the ball over the line, high tackle, raise your knees, not mark square - s**t happens - fact is high earning players like Chock were as lot worse than T-Rex tonight. Give him a break.
[/quote]

So you and everyone know, I played schoolboys footy against guys like Taylor (the JASON one) who played for St Gregs, when I played for Macarthur Anglican, so don't try and belittle me that way.

I was actually a decent 1/2 back in my day.

FMD you are a old bastard Ryan if you played against Taylor.

My b'day soon too you bastard ! LoL - yieeah - I'm old. 36 right now :(

chip n chase, I thought that too with the 1 on 1 with the little storm guy, such a big unit with absolutely little idea on how to play top line footy. Parra must have a good laugh at us, 3 years for literally zilch.

How did you play against Taylor then? he must be 40 now. He retired in 2001.

Dude, I'm 37 in April, and he's 40 now. I could have been in year 8 (I think I was), and he'd be in year 10. Three isn't that big a number to count, is it?

Taylor was born in 1971 I think.

T-Rex can be summed up in 2 plays. Missing a tackle on a one-legged opponent to let in a try. Not being able to score a try when given the ball 2m from the line with a guy 20kg lighter then him the only obstacle. Frustrating footballer to say the least.
The pity of it is he got held up.  If he is stopped 1m short of the line we have another play at them in dissaray and the video ref can't nit pick.  12 point play almost.

I thought you said you turned 36 this year.  Thought 4 years is too big a gap.  I did start at the pub at 2pm so simple addition is a struggle.

I also playing against St Gregs, it means stuff all. Also played in a Com Bank Semi against a team full of future 1st graders, I know that I know fark all :)

His miss for the Stanley try was terrible.  Lucky to get the penalty when Billy knocked him over.  He should have been knocking him into the grandstand from that situation in an attempt to get across to help.

Eventually there comes a time when you have to discard potential.  If Wolfman is back I'd move hoppa to the centres but with Lyon doing a hammy (hopefully not bad) T-Rex will be playing and hopefully he watches the tape and someone tells him he's in the last year of his contract.

Agree.  Hoppa is all class, can attack and defend and would be a better centre imo.

Really? Who did you play for, and what team mate? Imagine we played each other ! Hahahahaha....I played for Macarthur Anglican, and green and yellow team. We beat St Gregs once, but another time (when JT was there, they toweled me (us) 70 odd something to 8 odd (forget the exact score).

I got sent from that game, because they had this prop that was dead set about 6 foot 4 odd in year EIGHT !, and he charged straight for me. I thought, "**** this", stepped to the side and threw out the boot, and tripped the prick.

Hence to say, I didn't take part in the rest of the game, and it was a good lesson for me.

I tried to find some net info for you to jog your memory, but to no avail. If you look at my facebook, you'll see heaps of other mates that played in my team with me if you remember :)

Jamie did set him up well though, he reminds me of Tony Iro unfortunately, all that potential and no ticker.

Nah mate I am a little younger, just turned 32.  Also from a country school we we only played Sydney schools on the odd occassion.  We played MacCarthur from Penrith (excuse spelling) but thats a different school to yours.  I did not play senior footy against St Gregs, it was under 15's I think, we won but we did have a good group that year.

Oh ye of little faith. Toovey was always too small to make it, and Kostya was always to slight to be a champion.

Don't judge so narrowly.

Some people can surprise. It comes down to heart and passion more times than most, and that's what frustrates me with these robots we have in our team and management.

Agree.  Frustrating to watch sometimes.

T-Rex is a log. Imagine if you put Matai's ticker in T-Rex what an impact he could be but I'm afraid he is just a gentle giant. Much more suited to being a missionary than an enforcer.
