How many wins to make the 8?

Now that we are in the 8 after beating the storm, how many of our remaining games do we need to win to play finals?
Dogs
Roosters
Raiders
Tigers
Dolphs
Drags
Wahs

Top 6 are a lock. Cronulla have a bye in hand and a soft draw. We must beat both Easts and Dolphins at home to make it. 3 wins won't be enough.

Absolutely BUT you have to have hope.

I doubt our team can be UP like they were last week , each and every week , they just aren’t built that way ( yet ), so we will put in a piss poor performance ( or two ) along the way.

BUT all of a sudden that win has convinced them that they can in fact compete , and for that reason Saturday night was HUGE.

100% correct , but if we get a few unexpected wins , and they get some unexpected losses we might take that out of the equation.

I honestly believe all the remaining games are winnable!! If the team plays like yesterday & keeps improving the belief will be there for the players. Olakau’atu back this weekend only increases our chances. If we get over the dogs this Sunday then my confidence will sky rocket! Never say never.

Round 27 we play Wahs at Brookie - they should have top 4 spot sewn up and will rest players. Phins play Raiders who will rest players. Roosters play Souths in the Ultimate Book of Feuds clash.

Bad news is I have us playing at either Panthers or Broncos in round one. Game over and is there any point to making the 8 with only 8th spot up for grabs.

I mean, it's better than not making the eight. And any finals experience our players get has to be good for them.

BUT THAT PUTS US NINTH OUT OF 17.
And NOT in the top 8.

Under the current era of 17 teams and 24 rounds, 8th place has been 32 points in 2023 and 30 points in 2024.

Manly are currently on 24 points with 7 games left and no byes.

In 2023 & 24 the 4th place team was on 38.
