I feel your pain but don't be embarrassed . We will not win the spoon and we are ahead of half the sides in the NRL . We are rebuilding and we will be better next season .You can delete, or merge this thread, but I am embarrassed by our slump. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I accept we are not good enough to win the premiership, but seriously, I'm not proud of my teams efforts.

We are a young side with many players not having a lot of first grade experience. It is like starting all over again. It takes time to build a premiership side and we are basically starting from the bottom up. We will be a better side next year and then by 2019 we will start being a premiership force again. It just takes time and we need to be patient.
To be fair BD. The only one who has contributed this year from that loses list is BJ.2018 Gains: Toafofoa Sipley (New Zealand Warriors, 2019)
2018 Losses: Brenton Lawrence (Gold Coast Titans), Steve Matai (retired), Nate Myles(released), Brett Stewart (retired)
Np pressure on on Sipley, he should fill the void.
We are young in NRL experience. If we had a bunch of twenty year olds that had just petered out after a good start, I wouldn't be worried. However, we are NOT a young team.
We are young in NRL experience.
Kelly, Tom T, Winterstein, AFB, Parker, Lane, Perrett, would all be well under 50 games of NRL.
Even Jake and Api are under 100 games.
Our most experienced players are Marty, Lussick and Lawrence who are only about 100 games each.
To see the advantage of experience look at any SOO or Test side, they always have a solid core of vastly experienced players.
For what it is worth this year has a real 2005 and vibe to it for me
A team which was not expected to do much over performing and the fading out as the business end of the season comes around - also I see far more upside in the team (with the right recruitment)
Something did happen. On 5 July it was announced that we'd be investigated for salary cap cheating.Something must have happened
Over the last month we have shown that we are currently the worst team in the comp.
Something did happen. On 5 July it was announced that we'd be investigated for salary cap cheating.
The ramifications of that are still being digested and still expanding, despite the fact there is no likely prospect of a finding of guilt.
I might be wrong but I suspect it has put some recruitment negotiations on hold and effectively stalled the optimism and momentum Barrett's side had created during the previous few months.
That's on the public record. I can't accept that that is the reason for the mess we are in. That's why I said it's likely to be something not yet made public. Although it's highly unlikely that it wouldn't have already been leaked by some muppet in our club.Something did happen. On 5 July it was announced that we'd be investigated for salary cap cheating.

I just can't believe we let the worst attacking side I've ever seen score 30 points on us. Just sad really.
