You can delete, or merge this thread, but I am embarrassed by our slump. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I accept we are not good enough to win the premiership,but seriously, I'm not proud of my teams efforts.

I feel your pain but don't be embarrassed . We will not win the spoon and we are ahead of half the sides in the NRL . We are rebuilding and we will be better next season .

It takes time to build a premiership side and we are basically starting from the bottom up. We will be a better side next year and then by 2019 we will start being a premiership force again. It just takes time and we need to be patient.

For what it is worth this year has a real 2005 and vibe to it for me

A team which was not expected to do much over performing and the fading out as the business end of the season comes around - also I see far more upside in the team (with the right recruitment)

Even Jake and Api are under 100 games.
Our most experienced players are Marty, Lussick and Lawrence who are only about 100 games each.

To see the advantage of experience look at any SOO or Test side, they always have a solid core of vastly experienced players.

Its not the fact that we are getting done, its how we are losing that hurts me. Leaked 170 points in the last 5 games when we needed to be stronger. It really sucks

I knew I would get the Winterstein thing. I am not talking about 30 year olds who have played 10 games. They have played that many games for a reason. And for what it is worth, Lane, Kelly and Perrett will end in tears. I will give you AFB, Tom and Parker. I see no more youth than any other NRL team. The future does look bright with some of the kids coming through the grades, but we will probably lose the better ones to the usual suspects.

The thing is we mainly got the very best player on the market (or it turned out that way) for our needs each year from Kite to Kennedy to Orford to Lyon to Bell etc etc

What has happened to us in the space of 4 weeks is diabolical. Something must have happened a month ago that is yet to be made public. It's the only explanation. We are playing as if all the rumours about our club over the last year are true.

Do you think so SER8, I'm not sure on that as it doesn't really effect the current squad it was more the past.
In saying that though something is on the nose in the joint and has cut the guts out of this mob all of a sudden.

That's on the public record. I can't accept that that is the reason for the mess we are in. That's why I said it's likely to be something not yet made public. Although it's highly unlikely that it wouldn't have already been leaked by some muppet in our club.

It could be that we're just a sh!t team with a sh!t coach whose players don't want to play for him. Sounds feasible to me.

Honestly I thought if we played really bad we would win by 20-12 or something like that. I too am totally amazed.
