Is DCE the player most at risk?

DCE will be free to negotiate in about 8 months so you would expect attention somewhat earlier

im imagining he will want his contract negs kept quiet after backflip and backlash

i would think a year on year deal with des is where we would want to go similar to C smith at storm, considering many of the clubs prospects play in the spine

I thing Chezs game would go to a new level if he was year to year and if he wants to stay a one club player it would make the juggle more manageable

benji marshall became a way better player and found the control he couldnt when his livelihood was more linked to performance and played for donkeys yonks after he appeared done and dusted.

Hard decisions will have to be made... we live in interesting times.
Roster always changing shape…

These players might be in their last year with Manly (although things can change, of course)
Marty
Foz
Dylan
Jorge
Boyle
Davey
Sione Fainu

By 2024 on the other hand, these are who we have signed up so far
Keppie
Koula
Lawton
Haumole
Paseka
Schu
Jake
Turbo
Tuipulotu
...and Latu Fainu

Looks like we are getting quite good at these juggling acts.

Oh yeah, and probably Kelma Tuilagi for 2024. Can't imagine he was only signed for 1 season?

DCE and the turbos are the only 3 untouchable players we have

Maybe in 3 years when he is finally old enough for the dolphins to make a play at him but not anytime soon

His next deal has to include a Souths style coaching component to lock these kids in. Also I am guessing it has something to do with Dessie’s glacial speed of promotion to top grade for young talent to manage the cap. Remember DCE exploded onto the scene in his first year at 22 (?) and value went straight up after getting rep honours and premiership.

Yea, Des had Trent Hodkinson ahead of DCE, so banished DCE to Qld cup.

Des doesn't always see the right move, even when it's straight in front of him.

Yep
We are in as good as nick as any club making a decent sized window to succeed with multiple premierships over a decade

Bellyache did it and Des has done it before and I reckon will do it again

Des has been successful for a long period of time
Albeit at two clubs but is ready to take the mantle as one of the best
Robbo can eat a dic
Wayne can totter around until he loses the plot
Bellyache is finished
Ivan - please

We are looking at a dominate period

Go manly
