Is Tom's best position fullback?

Some of you are either very harsh judges or have an over expectation on a kid playing his second full year of first grade.

Hate to think what Sbake would have copped on here in his early days

Tom was close to being back to his best tonight. Simplified his game, took on the line and when there was a big moment to be had he capitalised and wanted the ball. Good stuff Tom!

Tom was nowhere near back to his best tonight.
He was still dropping balls.
His D was still poor on the line.
His positional play is still below average- why didn't he stand behind DCE/Milford when they were going for the ball? Instead he watched from the side and watched Milford score.

He did run pretty well, but he can and will improve at least another 50% over the next month.

He was very good tonight after some early struggles. I hope the club manages his physical conditioning well. A lean and mean Turbo will star at fullback. Any bigger and he would be more suited to the centres

Sorry but that's an unrealistic view of what happened tonight.

Great to see Tom confront his yips.
He ran the ball hard when he could've dropped his head, which the way he's been going was more than possible.
He finished strong and that's good.
He should take that confidence into next week.

Damn some of you are being overly harsh IMO.

Not one single FB in the NRL would have stopped Third Man from there (and he wouldn't have had to if Thommo hasn't missed him first), though I also think it looked a lot like a double movement.

And when Milford scored Tom again did what any fullback would have done. He thought DCE had it and both were surprised by Milford. Again, hardly Tom's fault, or Cherry's for that matter. Just good opportunistic play from Brisbane.

Yes his handling is still a bit off, or it was early. But his running game was causing all sorts of headaches for Brisbane tonight and his passing was good giving off two more try assists.

Best game of the year for him. Even better than the Canberra game.

Once thing I’ve noticed is that the kid at times tries to hard when he does that he makes mistakes.

He would of been neck and neck last night with Daly as our best

Hes going to get better now as Hodko can take even more pressure off him. Certainly back to his best last week and this week.

he was much better but I believe he still has improvement to be back to his best ... can't wait for that ... we are improving as a team

NSW origin side has found his best spot, that is WINGER.
that way he does not need to pass... not that he knows when or how to.
we need a new fullback.

backline for 2019

1. Buy a new one
2. Tom Turbo
3. Walker
4. Kelly
5. Peter Schuster
6. Tom Wright
7. DCE
