Jake was good tonight as he didn't have to do it all himself in D like what normally happens. It's amazing how things can get easier when everyone puts in with defence and in numbers and shares the load.
Waddel and Ben T both had well over 30 tackles last night and Jazz 46 to go with Jakes 45.

Keep it up Manly and support Jake in D.

Just watched first half again…Jake went after Nelson on his first two hit ups …hits him solidly on the first and on the second hit up Jake smashes him.Maybe why Nelson did sweet **** all after that .it's those little effort plays that wins games.

There's giving away a penalty that leaves your team deflated, and then there's the ref giving a penalty against you that just gets the pack looking for revenge. That a penalty for walking off the mark wasn't given was a bit unlucky. But the Manly Pack was riled up after that one. Where has this new footy team come from. Manly never usually show a set.

That's the type of ingredient that's been missing.

My only complaint about Jake right now is his lack of running and post contact metres.

And I'm not trying to bag him there, but we all know that he's capable of 100+ metres per game. I just wish he'd bring that side of his game out to play more often. That and his old offloads.

But his defence has been a big part of why we've won 3 in a row. He topped the tackle count against the Tigers with 45, against the Bunnies with 43 and he was 2nd to Jazz on Saturday night with 45 against Melbourne (Jazz made 46).

Hopefully Jake Trbojevic will be a Manly Premiership winning captain before he retires.
