Jamal Fogarty

But wasn't the media narrative that DCE wanted out early last year. If so then why would we let Humphries go knowing that DCE wanted out. None of these stories in this whole saga add up.
Exactly, it doesn't add up because the fans are un-informed.

Just run with emotions and think they "know".

I'm delighted.

I'd rather Fogarty, a really good half, with a couple of young guns on the horizon but needing development than

Humphries who isn't as good as Fogarty and doesn't have the potential of the kids

or

DCE who is old and doesn't want to be here

Quite a few ex-Manly back-up or junior halves sprinkled around the NRL.
Latu, Humphreys, Metcalf, Weekes, Foz (!) Schuster, Hastings

Of course, Hynes! Thanks.

Also should have mentioned Zac Dockar-Clay.
He played Blacktown SeaEagles 2019 including 6 games as half and another 6 at 5/8, and currently a regular benchie dummy half for Chooks.
At age 30 he's finally made it, another example of how play-makers take time to develop to NRL standard.

Remember they didn't burn witches, they burnt women.

Not completely up to date with witch history, which is crazy since i used the W word on the internet without proper preparation ……… but ive heard of male witches,

did they fall foul to a different method

I do think his early season form at Souths was a little exaggerated though too. He was solid, and kicked a winning field goal. He didn’t light up the competition as some reported. To me, he looks composed, can run shape, kicks well, and makes his tackles. That’s probably enough with the amount of natural talent at Manly, to be successful.

Absolutely.

He has been good as a rookie in the NRL but he has 1 try assist and 1 line break assist in 5 games.

The oft maligned and dropped Ilias had 2 and 1 in his first 5 games this year.

That is not to say that Humphreys hasn't been more impressive than Ilias and obviousy picking two isolated stats doesnt paint a full picture but I think it does show that Humphrey's hasn't been blitzing it like the media hype would suggest.

I prefer a drowning. Much quicker and carbon zero. Why waste the trees. A good drowning helps the environment.
Witches everywhere take offence to your comments.

I think a big issue with humphreys vs fogarty would have been age. Strategically, we were looking for an older experienced NRL half to play for a couple of years until the guys we are investing our future hopes in come through. DCE could have done that. Fogarty fits the bill. Humphreys doesn't.

They really were the “karens “ of old , the burning posse
But witches got sexy and doubt crept in
And then bewitched was on tv and every man alive fell in love with witches
Samantha stevens cutie pie

She was so , so ,so amenable
Agreed. I didn’t mind Sabrina in the Archies comics either. My pre-teen mind could overlook the fact she was a 2 dimensional cartoon. As am I.

Fair point. However, at the time the club let Humphreys walk it had no idea Fogarty would be available.
I don't think the club knew that DCE would be leaving. It's the only rational explanation. Mind you, rational and Manly administrators don't always meld.
