I would say that the chances of DCE doing a backflip on his leaving Manly are zero, he's done it before and copped heaps, imagine the flack he would cop if he did it again.

None of us really no what we have available in the cap so its all a bit of a moot chat.

You could say we offered DCE 'what we had left over' or could be we only offered DCE what we did as we had thoughts on budgeting money elsewhere.

Maybe we had 400-500k planned for a forward now we have 600-700k.

Or maybe we have nothing and any saving goes to Bully.

I'm not sure. However, whilst Mestrovs Haas comments were obviously a bit of fan appeasement and not to be taken seriously, I do think they are somewhat indicative that the club has a forward in mind.

Spencer Leinu would be a great signing for our forwards stock, I much rather him than Haas.

Yeah I agree, Sticky said he was happy down there, so why would you leave unless the money they are offering him is crap as long as we dot chase Chad Townsend if we miss out on him, that will show our desperation, even if we are, there is no need to proclaim it to the world

He’d be leaving because they’re only offering him 1 yr as opposed to 2 at Manly.Both contracts would be worth similar value except an extra yr of security for Fogarty.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the NRL stepped in and said NO they are valued at a million each, we don’t accept anything less.
Tom is worth about half of his current deal at no fault of his own, his body isn’t up to it.
Jake is also worth a lot less now, he is still a great player but not the player he was.

I think we got dudded on their last contracts, they have said they can’t ever play against Manly but we still paid overs incase someone offered big money.

Probably rugby as we are the only club that are forced to pay market value…ie Glenn Stewart.

If they do choose to step in and value both at $1m plus then we cut them lose.

And then I bet the NRL will let them go elsewhere for half price.
