Jamie Buhrer 2017 stats

At the expense of Lewis Brown and Winterstein and Api

This is a sickening way to treat Jamie Buhrer and the fans

He bled manly

Unforgivable

At a time when we have lost 8 manly manly champions in a few years years

Jamie Buhrer was not the man to let go

What an absolute disgrace

Sack the man responsible immediately no excuses

Shame on you shame on you

Not bad for a Little bloke with bad knees
It is a great start to the season for Jamie and the Knights . I hope Jamies Knees and the Knights form holds up in the long season ahead

He's gone now let's move on and be happy for him at the Knights. Unbelievable we still have Brown and not Jamie but nothing's going to change that now. I still get a sneaky 5 on KB for first try scorer tho. He'll get one soon.

Agree re Buhrer. Still can't get my head around him playing for the Knights!!!! Our team with Buhrer in it would have been so much better for this year...note positional changes:-
Tom T
A Uate
D Walker
B Kelly
DCE
B Green

D Lussick
J Hastings
B Lawrence
M Taupau
J Buhrer
Jake T
Res:
AFB
S Lane
S Perrett
C Sironen
Sironen can cover forwards & has played halves before, Buhrer can cover Hooker if required, Hastings Halves. Good solid big bench.........sigh!!

I was hoping he'd still be here.

But, happy to move on as well. Decision has been made.

S'funny though...there's one poster who continually tells us to move on and stop living in the past whenever these discussions come up, yet the same poster demands we all bow down to one particular manly staff member for all the great things he did for us 'in the past.'

Can't have it both ways! Unless you're a worm I guess.

Stop living in the past, like um you know using bobby's playing days a leverage.
I know right.

To be honest he's probably happy to be away from the place and playing somewhere he feels wanted. I can't hate Newcastle now that he plays for them and I hope he and the team do well.
The only explanation I've heard trotted out as to why he was "let go" is that we needed room in the salary cap and he was one of our only "expendables" who might have been attractive to other clubs. That in itself should have given our Powers That Be pause for thought. Yeah, he might take up more cap space than Sironen or even the mighty Lewis Brown, but there's a very, very good reason for that.

This image made the 2016 Season for me.
Ferriss kicking the ball over the Southern Stand after his try was awesome.

Just live Beaver, Jamie will never be tainted by another Club's colours in my eyes :h:

Hope he kills it for the rest of his career

I know you all miss Jamie and how good he was (stats back that up) but continuing to make threads about how good he and how much you will miss him is really stupid to be honest. He's moved why can't some of us fans do so to? God knows we need back rowers and Jamie would have been great but it's time to move on.

Class player. It only took 2 games for Buhrer and Starling to taste victory at the Knights, at a club that didn't know how to win a game. Came very close in round 1 too.

We had it good in 2014 when honest, hardworking forwards like Buhrer, Lawrence and Starling were carrying us. Souths would have been tough to beat but ultimately it was the injuries to Buhrer and Ballin that brought us undone

Letting Jamie go was a puzzling decision as the guy was one of our better forwards last season and he loves this place. He is proving again on the field what a good player he is and he is lifting the Knights. Goes to show that the decision to release him and others is going to be scrutinized if our season does not improve.

It's the lack of accountability for me in these decisions.

Not only buhrer but ballin, gutherson and hiku.

There may well have been salary cap constraints but you don't throw out some of these very good ones to sign some average ones.

I can move on if the club would take some accountability, the same way they made Tooves accountable.
