This is what being a football club member is all about. Having the chance to endorse both Killer and Matty B as life members is an absolute honor to be a part of.
The success the club enjoyed from 2006 - 2014 is very much down to the contributions of these two legendary players who were part of a group of players who bled for the club, had an amazing bond and played in grand final wins and were part of a team that made the semi finals every year.
Killer was a player who epitomised what Manly stand for, skillful, resilient, tough and he brought a calmness to the team through his leadership, to this day our team has badly missed that.
Matty B was an unsung player each team needs, great worker and kept our ruck tight, offered great service from dummy half. rarely injured until his last season and like Killer gave the team composure through his leadership and toughness.
November 30th is going to be a fantastic night to honor them, celebrate the Holden cup winning team triumph and celebrate the first-grade team making the finals.
I joined the footy club 3 years ago because I wanted to experience seeing our great players honored and be part of something that I have for over 40 years.
It would be so nice and refreshing if the Sea Eagles club could embrace the footy club and that we have a united and solid club moving forward.
After all, our goal is to see the Maroon and White be successful!!!

The Penns and their crew made Killer, Snake and Stevie life members last year, the football club traditionally does this and its part of the contempt that the owners have shown the football club that they did this despite them!! Yes I imagine Snake and Skivvy will go up next year, and yes this is the REAL Life Membership, the ones that have been going for over 70 years NOT the Micky Mouse variety handed out by Zorba and crew.
