Jason Saab

Look gutted in the sheds post game.....and rightly so. He costs us the game tonight. Turbo must have been spewin. Has too much show in his game and doesn't ice it when it counts. Someone like DWZ, To'o or Tupou would have nailed both of those opportunities.
That knock on from dummy halve was terrible and lazy, not what you want from a player heading into big games.

I would punt him just for that as that was ordinary in a moment where he should have been switched on.

He has really improved his game this year though those two late mistakes had me absolutely seething.

Needs to learn from it I guess.

The only problem I have with Jason Saab is that he can have lazy handling, like we saw last night.

His runs and defence have improved. But he does have lazy hands.

There are some moments i think Saab could be an elite winger.....there are others times i think he should never be seen in first grade again.

Given he is signed to 2029, we are married to him regardless.
I agree Rocky but he has too learn that that position isnt his permanently, its not a given that he has a mortgage on it but Seinfeld has no B...s to drop him

I don't want to give up on Saab as he flashes brilliance and still has massive scope - I'm just not sure the mistakes he makes are worth it though

I would rather run with this (assuming Turbo can get back to some level of form) right now

1. Lehi
2. Garrick
3. Turbo
4. Koula
5. Talau

Not sure how you get this far in FG and still have feet for hands. Brad Fittler,of all people, when coaching the Roosters, had issues with Shaun Kenny-Dowell’s handling. So to try something different,Fittler made him carry a ball everywhere he went or did whilst at the club.It seemed to work well and SKD’s form turned around

Hasn't got Tommy setting him up anymore, he's kinda redundant now.

I love Saab’s speed & the whole shut the gate feeling once he’s in open space with the ball, but I’ve NEVER felt confident in his defensive abilities & ability to hit the ball up from inside our 40.

Yes, he’s improved in hitting the ball up but he’s still not convincing as a line breaker.

Unfortunately he’ll never fill out physically to be as solid as Tupou because if his genetics - he’s of Nigerian stock & they are genetically tall & lean.

I also think he suffers from a bit of “imposter” syndrome (a couple of seasons ago when he said his father told him he had to start ripping in & not worry about getting hurt gave me that impression) which affects his confidence.
