Joey Walsh

Mad dog Morgan, The last wave, The FJ Holden, Picture Show Man, Long Weekend, Patrick.

Haven’t checked, but I suspect most of these movies were financed by the South Australian Film Corporation - at least it’s seemed that way back then.

Agree. Time Seibold did a Ryles and drops DCE like Brown to reserves. Our chances of playing semis look slim so why not start to blood the future. We all know it'll never happen, but kudos to Ryles.
100% - Even though there's talk on here that blooding him now with a dud pack might hurt his confidence or whatever I reckon better he plays behind a dud pack sooner because If he's a future champion then we'll know if he's got any ticker or not.

Daly Cherry-Evans' replacement 'ready to go now' if Manly want glimpse into NRL future

Two years to run on this contract which means he can negotiate from November next year.

So he must get significant time in first grade in 2026 if we are to retain him.

There is Brooks and Fogarty. Roster management must be a nightmare.

Fogarty is 31 and Brooks is 30. I see Joey Walsh as our long term future half. I'd be playing Walsh at 7 and Fogarty at 6. Brooks provides good cover.

Not helpful at the time of the Fogarty signing and shenanigans with D C E when Walsh was still in the recovery stage and getting back on his feet footy wise .
Would not have altered the signing of Fogarty one would assume but may have reduced his contract range to 2 years and a bit more of a clearer path for Walsh to establish himself at a higher level
Obviously still has to prove himself but will be a crunch time over the next 18 months or so if Walsh does seriously measure up.
Guess that Walsh could even manage a 6 role but Large is still apparently rated a future star or star material in the making
Fogarty in the capable tradesmanship type half ranking with a bit of toe, Walsh maybe with a touch of real flair and Fogarty getting on in years a bit
Just can not see Walsh wanting to hang around if he is well up to standard next year and limited prospects to be a regular and long term Manly is t grade 7

We’ll ship Fogarty off to SL and pay some freight , I’m sure they’d have considered that. The 3 year deal was necessary to get the player.

Still would not undervalue Brooks ability to trouble opposition defences
Needs a retreating and more broken defensive line and not going to happen with the likes Ola and Tent out for extended periods and more organized built up plays , preferably initiated from a 7 playing an expected and committed role
Defence has been fairly reliable for a good part of his Manly stint to date also
Doubt if Fogarty would be as effective as a 6
Brooks would be an expensive bench option in say 27 in his final contract year but if it is the case that a Walsh - Large haves combo is the way to go after next season , going to have to be some serios revision with Fogarty and Brooks still on the books

Why did we sign Fogarty for theee years. Him or Brooke’s will have to get shipped off early or we will lose Walsh

Looks like we **** the bed in managing our cap again

Maybe that is going to be a consideration but even a fair portion of a 650 K contract would be a big ask of any S L club let alone the fact Fogarty is hardly a household N R l name and 32 next year
Wish it was not a quite likely problem coming up but will just have to be dealt with as best as possible i guess
