Joey Walsh

Probably of general interest is whether he will get a run as the 7 or even 6 at whatever stage
On the bench as reserve back but doubt he would be played as a centre unless things really got desperate and pretty much could rule out wing or full back

So he looks like a first grader and now your getting the boot in early hahaha.
I first aired my concerns about him in June.

I know he's not the first player to be toxic and play NRL for Manly, but it's different when you're actively involved in the situation. Can't get behind him.

Yeah, I remember when you first mentioned this.

All I can say is, he's a kid. Like, literally not far removed from being a child. He can grow up. I'm sure there were plenty of us who had tickets on ourselves when we were younger who have been battered into submission and better behaviour as we've aged.

And for those of us not actively involved with the situation, the only way we can judge him is by his on- and off-field behaviour (or what we know of it). For most of us, I'd say that makes him a blank slate, and we can only wish him well. He's a talent, and I hope he has a long and fruitful career.

I would be very interested to see Walsh play 6 or 7 alongside DCE for a limited time. Equally interested same time to see Brooksy play 9. Good chance we see this if Roosters win the night before ie. Seibold will have nothing to loose in this experiment.

Just the type of season Brooksie has had , might be the time to see how he may go as a 9
Still has his relatively good speed of the mark and realize that there are a couple of younger 9 "s in the system now who could well come into calculations soon but a Simpkin - Brooks 9 combo , could have something going for it next year
Just looking at some of his highlights in attack , Walsh is pretty handy on his feet close to the line and a natural ball player so no reason why he could not manage a 6 role at a higher level
Know that defence has to be up to par for both with these positions as well but certainly could not doubt their likely attacking benefits in those respective roles
Jazz on the move now , youngsters not ready , Gordy and hopefully not Turpin not required on present indications , a Simpkin - Brooks 9 arrangement doesn "t sound all that bad

I know him. Not a big fan of his character.
Interesting. As others have said, he's very young.
Not to excuse anyone acting as an asshole, but I can imagine that constant praise from being a sport star all through your childhood and teens can go to one's head.
Especially in a sport (and playing a position) that requires aggression and assertiveness, to say the least.
Probably a lot depends on family to keep such kids grounded in reality?
I've someone in my family who is on a star trajectory (basketball) only 13 and just started high school. Has always been a lovely boy but as it gets more full-on I'm hoping he doesn't let it all go to his head, time will tell!

Dare I say a premiership winning spine for next year??? Brooks / Fogarty / Walsh / Turbo.
Throw in some younger blood in those forwards (Caleb, Hart, Muagututia, Laiafi, Puavase). Throw in Paseka / Sio / Lodge. Luv to see Semisi Kioa have a shot at centre partnering Tolu. This kid has been burning them in reserves.

I am excited for 26!!!
