Josh Addo Carr stood down

I wish they would, and I can’t see reason why Gus wouldn’t. The club has finally cleaned up the roster and found blokes who want to play footy and it’s refreshing to see a group of guys gel together so well then you have The Fox doing this crap, and what’s even worse is he is still denying it, no club wants that sort of behaviour

It's a "funny" one, sack him because he's tarnished the image of the club etc etc but other clubs will have no hesitation in signing up for him to come back to haunt you!
Carney, Ferguson, Dugan etc etc etc

Do you rate him? He has his moments but pushing 30 he’s becoming increasingly injury prone

I cant get over him leaving the game before it was finished because his telephone battery was flat. That really demonstrates a commitment to his team and how they went. I wouldn't want a player with those priorities at Manly.

What a lame excuse, driving who knows where to buy a phone charger. Can't you borrow someone's charger ?.

I'm surprised the Dogs haven't taken the opportunity to punt him based purely on the hit he delivers to their salary cap. The side is doing better now and there's no need to be paying that much for a winger.

But I do rate him. He's a player who knows how to score a try from anywhere, which is never a bad thing, and he's a natural competitor. It's just that every team is looking to get the most value for their money these days and, on a purely financial level, I thought the Dogs would jump at the chance to release him.

Well he must of already used his one get out of hail card already, under the one fault policy of the NRL

Me too, I would have thought Gus is an old school hardarse with that type of behaviour and given he was brought in to club up the club and how ****house the roster has been for years until now that he wouldn’t be giving second chances, I don’t understand why he is still denying it though, hypothetically if he was at Manly and denying would you want to keep him in the squad?

Without knowing the details of his contract it would be extremely difficult for the club to sack him for his first offence as they will have to pay him out his full contract worth, better to try and get something for him if possible.

He's already received a suspended 3k fine for a brawl at a Koori knockout comp last year (I think) - so it's not his first offence, but I still don't think they'll sack him. Maybe just add that suspended fine to whatever they are going to do with this latest ...incident.

If you listen to Gus when he talks he has gone from full bloodied defending him (including a claim at one stage that their own drug test came back negative which I find interesting no one has focused on) to now talking about how it is not clear what is going on with a number of inconsistencies.

Pure speculation on my part but anyone who has tried to get rid of a under performing / not suitable employee can see the playbook pretty clearly
