Having a much better season so far in terms of being largely injury free and making some reasonable impact in games but guess it is still always tempered with that concern at his tendency for some unnecessary ill disciplined play and staying ability .
Club made that call to extend his contract until [ 2026 ? ] and must have had some level of reservation along with some not unreasonable expectation that he could provide some better value for money in the process .
Does not seem that many options say into next season for instance if he is still part of the mix , except for possibly Jake and Tent starting and Bully and a better in form Sips as regular solid back ups and Lodge being able to offer something worthwhile again .
James maybe or apparently doing a bit better at Blacktown recently but no doubt still a way to go to compete at a higher level if he actually is capable of it .
And trying to get another good standard prop from somewhere else
Not sure really if Brown is suited to really big minutes at 13 .
Maybe or hopefully , Navale is not that far off to step up to a higher level as a 13 , looks like Matterson , though a pretty fair footy player will not come into contention .
Probably will just have to accommodate Josh for some time yet and hope that his better side , form and discipline wise can be more of a positive then not

It's a pretty simple system.

Every player began Season 2022 with a clean slate with player records reset on a rolling 12-month period since their last offence.

Aloiai has 2 offences in last 12 months.
Radley does not.

There is no inconsistency and no Manly loading. See below

Josh Aloiai (Round 6, Dangerous Contact – suspended 1 game)

Josh Aloiai Grade 2 Dangerous Contact (Tripping) 2nd Offence TBC 2-3 matches

Victor Radley (Round 12, Careless High Tackle – $1000 fine)
The question needs to be asked why did we cop the Dangerous contact charge v the Warriors?
Should've taken the NRL to task on that.

Harry Grant challenged his even though it was only a fine but he cleared the slate just in case.

I would like to see Bullemor bulk back up a bit.
He really trimmed down to play 80 on the edge when Des brought him down,it didn't work and he then moved back to the middle, but has stayed really lean.
His involvement is good but lacks impact like his days at Bongos,we don't need him to play 80,but 35-45 minutes of quality from him would help the side more.
For me,he doesn't need to be quite as light as he is now.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have extended the contract of experienced prop Josh Aloiai for a further two years.

Off contract at the end of next year, the 28-year-old will now be at the Sea Eagles until the end of the 2027 season.

A hard running prop with a high work ethic, Aloiai has been a mainstay of the Sea Eagles pack over the past three years.

Aloiai has played 150 NRL games, 60 of them at Manly.

He's now contracted for longer than Jake, DCE, Turbo, Paseka, Sipley... (and Seibold of course)
So the club must see him as important to the culture of the place ... which I must say surprises me somewhat.
He has played better this year, although dumb suspension hurt us.

This has been his best season at Manly for sure - though with absolute lapses in judgement that may have costed us a couple of games. He is a relatively mobile prop if we look at it from a long term perspective, like Navale, Brown, Bullemor, etc. If he keeps it simple he's a good prop. As soon as his brain comes into the picture he ends up boycotting matches either through his own stupidity or beliefs.

He is one of our more effective middles with some leg speed over the advantage line. We just need to get consistency out of him (in terms of performances and stringing games together without injury and suspension).

When focused, he is a really good player. I just hope he doesn’t cost us with stupidity.
