[Resurrected] Josh Schuster

We love throwing money at the next alleged Messiah

We have heard this story before… some people are not cut of for professional sport. Big deal, kid is only 24, go get a job like every other guy and earn his way through life. I bet in a few years, penny will drop. Bugs me, kids have zero resilience and all have mental health issues… he was paid bucket loads of cash, did he invest in property or similar… hope so.
Blah blah blah

Geez I hope no one you know ever runs into any mental health issues. Your attitude would send them so much closer to the edge.

The fact that Bennett in his press conference refused to talk about him other than to say he is safe and getting all the help he needs should tell you something, unless you're completely tone deaf.

It's just football. If you need to pick on someone, go talk to your mirror tough guy.

You talking about your kids? I probably couldn't blame them
If you're talking Schuster he's not a kid, and 'mental health issues' covers a wide range of conditions and illnesses many of which having nothing at all to do with whether you are a resilient person or not.

Mate what else would you expect from a chicken$hit behind a keyboard. Don’t waste your time with the ignorant prick!

On his day, he can be a great player. Maybe he can get a role with the NRL with Mental Health Awareness. Jarral Yow Yeh, I believe did something similar running workshops with the community. His career was cut short by some pretty bad injuries. I think Schuster might prefer just playing the local park footy with mates.

I hope you never experience mental health or are around someone close to you struggling with mental health, mental health doesn't discriminate. The way you speak about it like that, is the reason majority of the target audience and members on here being men and in the older age range are afraid to ask for help, afraid to reach out and possibly make a life ending decision because people like you talk about it like it is a weakness, like it's a choice. Shame on you. I hope anyone that reads this that is ever struggling knows that you are more than welcome to message me at any time and it will remain private and confidential. It's not weak to speak.

Far out, I hope Souths treats him a bit better than we did, if his mental health issues are continuing, and are clearly of such serious scale. It really seemed like we just ****ed him off, and left him on his own. I really hope that wasn't the case, but it looked that way.

No doubt from a football standpoint, paying someone $615k/year isn't great, but far out, it's always better to have them on this earth, than off it. I hope Josh is doing alright. It's never too late to break back through, we know he can be a great NRL player.

Players like Nicho went through similar stories. Right now, Josh the human is far more important than any $200k or anything like that. Oh, we could've gotten a slightly better reserve grade forward with the cash? If any of that money is going towards helping Josh out, and doing whatever we can to help him through this, it's worth it.

If he was serious about his ongoing mental health, go ahead and spend a portion of the $600k on counseling and support. I’m sure Tartek is investing in his client and his health lol (a stab at the agent not the player before you guys go off)

It’s a personal issue not a football problem. My point was and is, step away and move out of the spotlight… geez

I hope he gets through this. He's extremely talented and probably feels the pressure of having such talent and not being able to realise it in his current state of mind.

I hope he gets his life together, regardless of football, his wellbeing is more important and mental illness is a very bad thing, I know personally how painfull it can be. Being happy is paramount and is very important, everyone deserves to be happy, all the best Josh, I hope you can turn your life around mate
