Watching the Flegg game and the refereeing is atrocious, the poor manly boys have just been on the end of every penalty it’s borderline cheating by the referee

For too long Manly were about bringing select talented juniors up through the grades and paying them unders when they approach reserve and first grade, whilst instilling club mentality. It all falls apart when other club become aware and swoop in and sign the talent up. Manly are still 5 years behind junior player identification and development. The Junior recruitment was a friend of the club current CEO, and former club players get a better look into coaching roles without player development and result experience to back them up. Shows that nepotism is still about. Time to stop blaming past junior administrations, the current ones have held the reins long enough now to show vast improvement in the junior system.

A couple of interesting mid season pick ups.
Will Cannavo on the bench in Reggie's,a lock or second rower who captained the Knights Ball side this year.
Kurt Fisher a 198cm 100+ kg second rower from the Eels,very quick for a backrower(ex-centre),originally a Cowboys junior starting in Flegg.
Jaxen Yow an elusive 5/8 from the Raiders and also from Qld,also starting in Flegg.

Also Charlie Boyle on the bench for JF. He signed with the Dragons in the off season so has made his way back to Manly. Kylan Mafoa continues to play Sydney Shield. I expected him to play NSW Cup so not sure what is going on there.
