2 contributing factors to that lose, 1. Des's selections, Funa at five eight, 2. Refs, i cant remember the last game i watched that the ref's where given a directive, like today, im calling for an investigation!!

To be honest guys, it wasn't penalties that lost us this game (or sin bins). We played like absolute crap, and I'm talking the whole 17. It was mistake riddled. It was lethargic play. It was laziness (like that dumb offload by Taupau).

The 10 in the bin first half changed the game. We had the game in complete control. Ref did not allow us the play second half. 10-0 penalties, letting Newcastle hold down, we were pretty good defensively considering we had 2 sin bins and the refs kept giving them piggy back and stopping play when we started to get on a roll.

The game has become a joke with this crusher tackle

The offload from Marty was dumb but this game has been borderline cheating. Every time Manly was in attack Newcastle stopped the game. Killed any momentum. The sin bin to Marty was almost unbelievable.
What are we watching and what a rort.
I'm disappointed in some of Manly's dumb decisions today but overall the defence was great.
In the words of the great man Tooves, There needs to be an investigation!

FUna shouldn't have played let alone 5/7. He cost us. Des should have played Lawton and started Ben. Give the kid a run. Surely playing Funa was a bigger risk. Matches the Walker to fullback call that one.
