Playing an nrl game with players missing due to origin is still the biggest blip in our game.

either play it at the end of the season or one stand alone game where every team gets the week off.

No one gives a **** if NSW win or lose compared to winning a very winnable club game with our full strength side.

Tom will be out due to selection and cannot see him backing up either.

Couple of things guys.

Everyone is going on about Ponga / Gagai and their willingness to show the selectors their omission was a mistake.

Don't discount Haumole Olakau'atu. Really hope he gets a bee in his bonnet about being left out, and he goes on a rampage. He went to another level last year during origin if people remember.

I hope Jake Arthur gets a run. I really think he and Schuster can clique. Both absolutely quality players. Both faced adversity and big mouths, but are and have an opportunity to shut up the nay sayers.

I'm not sure about Tuipulotu on the bench. Worst case, you play Arthur at 14 , as he can fill in 1-7 , and also 11-13. I do however think Siebold has named Tuipulotu to keep both the media and heat off Arthur.

I love, love, love Weekes. I hope he takes these 6 or so weeks, to demand a nice fat contract extension. Kid is all class, speed and skill. We need to find a way to get him into that backline long term somehow. I could see him going elsewhere like the Storm or Panthers and utterly dominate.

Anyways, I'm hoping for (and expecting) a win.

Knights should be favourites no doubt this for this game, we have so many out but you look at when we played them last it was the reverse they had a lot out, poor form and they came away with the draw.

John's is a real worry if he is picked.
If gordan can't get a run this week with so many out then he never will.

Head says knights by 14
Heart says manly by 1 in another close game.

I will go with my heart

Another key point for us is no Brailey, they have only won one game since his been out, (hasn‘t played since rd 6) his a huge loss for them and their forward pack are struggling to get across the advantage line without him bringing them onto the ball, (a quality 9 is everything) he was also their captain and I think best player for the first 6 rounds. He can throw a good long cut out ball from DH that was giving them space and time on their edges, that’s not happening at the moment either, we can still give this a bloody good shake, if the lads turn up.

Lol, is it just me or are the player sponsors rather quaint.

So this is how I see it unfolding v Knights...
Trip-a-Deal bends the line and gets a quick play the ball. Wideline fires it to DMK Forest Products who passes smoothly to Tukka Table, as the defence converges he pops a no-looker to Pointsbet who is through! The cover is coming quick so he passes to Cloud 9 who is stopped only centimetres out. The ball is then fired back to the right, with long passes from Tukka Table and Wideline, there is space out there! And Manly Leagues attracts 5 defenders before throwing a beautiful ball to 4 Pines Brewing and he's over! And he runs round to plant the ball near the posts, an easy conversion for Cloud 9.

What a good interview with Schu (thanks @The Wheel). They covered many topical and relevant questions, with all that's transpired in recent months with him. Let's hope he gets his wish and stays on the field now for the rest of the season.

It's so wrong it's borderline criminal. Here is a competition with a billion dollar TV deal, mass corporate sponsorship, players earning north of a million dollars a season, fans forking out money for memberships, and we compromise the integrity of the entire thing, but playing some exhibition games in the middle of it. Ludicrous. The Knights lose Frizell and we lose Turbo and DCE from our spine?! Completely unfair. A potential loss here could be the difference between making the top 4 or top 8 or collecting the spoon.

There needs to be an investigation

Channel 9 likes the ratings. It's pretty short sighted but no surprise really.

Be glad we aren't the EPL, they have to deal with Carabao Cup, Europa League, FA Cup and Champions league. Fixtures are constantly shifted to mid week where teams have 3 day turnarounds.

I think it's about time this team showed us all how a tough gritty win is done. Our backs will be fine. But Forwards win this game baby. Keep it simple and just bash them up the guts. Bash them up the Guts. And for something different. Bash them up the guts again.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that when Cooper J impressed us in the past he was playing halfback? Maybe five-eight just doesn't suit his play. In which case having him as the specialist 1/2 against the Knights, directing the general play and giving Schuster some space (Yeah OK, Optimist) might not be the worst thing. If our forwards fire up and our halves can direct the play then we have the team to win this game, even with our Outs.

Yeah, maybe. He certainly gave us nothing at 5/8 and I would also be worried about how he'd handle Hastings and/or Gamble. I'm not sure whether it's better to try him again at half or bring in a newbie like Arthur. It is asking a lot of the kid to throw him straight in. But unless the forwards can hold the centre, it will probably be academic.

Yeh I must be missing the point here. Great Weekes got the full back position, but what does Humphries got to do to get a chance at the top. He's been producing the goods at the Reggies level. Has he spat in someone's soup. Sometimes I just sit back and wonder about some selections. Johns has been...well uninspiring and that's being kind. Obviously I'm a dodo or....
