I didn’t expect to win, but at 12-0 on attack and dick fingers Thompson drops the ball. Then The rot set in. I will be amazed if the knights don’t run a way with it in the second half. We left the club brain cell in 2019
I love it when a winger doesn't even move during a bomb on his own ****ing wing, what a massive fraud

SET RESTARTS

Includes the tackle number for those who were requesting that figure last week.

1st Half:

Knights: 3 - Tackle Number: 1, 2, 2

Manly: 1 - Tackle Number: 4

Yes, we are dumb. But our dumbness kicked in after the refs stopped being reasonable. Momentum turned on that rake call that was miraculously overturned. Another one near the line when Ponga just dropped the ball but they got a penalty anyway.

Seems like nothing can go right for us at the moment. Bright start, two really good tries, followed by some dud calls, an injury and mistakes coming out of our own end. And to top it all off, we let in yet another try just before the break. Tough to watch.

The fact we need every 50/50 call to go our way to complete against middle of the road teams says it all.

We have onky had two good moments all game.
Cust try and jake putting Paseka in the clear.

One positive is big Taniela is getting the consistency required as he gets more confident.
Just like us to hold the ball and give big Guaca and Sirro a chance.
Got to just play the middle third like early on and get out big forwards working off DCE and Cust.
Going wide is just asking for trouble.

Haven’t given up yet. Could not possibly drop as much ball. They are vulnerable two off the ruck on both sides.

Up 12-0 then everything we do goes to sht.
Not one senior player in this team has the ability to settle down this team when things go wrong and steer the ship.
Again our lack of concentration on the task leads to simple errors and we pay for it every time.
Sadly don’t deserve to be a Top 8 contender !

SET RESTARTS

I don't think that I missed any but here is what I have got (plus tackle number for those who were requesting that figure last week)

1st Half:

Knights: 3
Tackle: 0, 0/1, 2

Manly: 1
Tackle: ? (Sorry but I missed the tackle count being displayed on FOX)

I have the knights on 4

A pretty fair summary. The most disappointing aspect of all this is how we respond to the adversity. That's the mark of a team moving forward and capable of developing into something good. We have just capitulated like whiney little bi#ches too often this year, with just glimpses of resilience. The former has well-outweighed the latter.

Yes he needs to improve his discipline.

But to say you are done with him and you want the club to get rid of him is childish
I never said I wanted the club to get rid of him, or even alluded to that. I do think he needs to be hooked though to maybe wake him up to what he continually does.

I would go as far as to say in the past 4 weeks, 8 tries have directly on the back of a Jake penalty or set restart. These aren't one offs.

We don't need all of them, but one or two would be nice.

Ultimately I think it comes down to a lack of resilience, which we've talked about before. Our confidence gets shot and we start doing dumb things. Dessie's "mind coach" has got his work cut out for him with this bunch.

It’s attitude. They’ve got no realistic shot at winning the comp and most of them look like they’re just going thru the motions. That’s not to say they aren’t putting in effort or trying, they are but only individually, not collectively as a team.

That comes down to coaching. There should always be something to play for. At the very least to take pride in your own performance and hopefully get a win. Just disappointing.
