Can we please rename the thread to "Kobe Hetherington" and hope not to have 6 more threads with variations on this one? Asking for a friend...
I watch all the Broncos games (the other half supports them) and behind Haas, Kobe has been the next most consistent forward this year for them imo.Good solid tough player that we need will help usher in some young forwards. Not a champion but way above the plodders we have been buying. Congrats to the recruitment team
like the rorters, they lose 8 or 9 fringe reserve graders & sign/re-sign 4 or 5 starsThatās 1, I reckon thereās more coming ( zero inside knowledge just a gut feel ) , cannot lose 9 players and not sign anyone
Do you know someone from the club telling you this?this'll be the crown jewel - dont get too excited
Did the broncos release him? because on the 23rd July it is in the courier mail that he rejected a two year deal from broncos but extended for 1 more years.
Now normally I would blame the journo (peter badel) but the story quotes his manager
āItās a great result,ā said Hetheringtonās manager Chris Haddad.
āKobe is happy at the Broncos, so we were happy to extend for one year and weāll see what happens after that.
āThe Broncos offered us a two-year deal but we were happy to do another 12 months and Kobe will keep testing and challenging himself.
āHe could have left the Broncos. Several Sydney clubs were keen on Kobe, but when we sat down with āMadgeā (Maguire), he wanted a chance to work with Kobe and he is enjoying being coached by Madge.
āWeāre glad to have his future sorted. Kobe can relax now and focus on playing well for the Broncos in the run to the finals.ā
I understand Kobeās younger brother, Osaka, has agreed to a train and trial with the Sea Eagles.
