Kobe Hetherington

So what's that got to do with me and whether you need to tell me that Fogarty is the number one recruit of the off-season rather than Hetherington? How pedantic given the original poster was comparing Hetherington to Waddell.

I'm one of the more positive on here regarding recruitment and the club direction by the way.
and the original poster wasn't putting s**t on Kobe

Can I asked based on what?

Hethrington is coming from the Broncos bench to most likely shore up our bench. He is a worker with some mobility and energy.

I see him as having a second Bully on the bench and that is a good thing for our 17.
Agree, he would be the Broncs #13 but for Carrigan and he's been a mainstay of their top 17 all year (24 games)

If he gives us more of the same then all good l reckon.

I was expecting to see a starter for us (maybe he will) but he just hasn't jumped out as a starter to me. He appears depth to me but I admit I'm judging on a 2 game watch so I could be being unfair to him.

I expected that but smoothy replced carrigan which I found weird
I think that was more to do with bench rotation and a specific role than anything else, only the second game he was in the starting line up out of 10 games this year.
Hetherington has been in the 17 every week and started at lock for the first half of the season with Carrigan at prop.

Probably in the practical sense , better to regard Kobe more as a direct like for like for Jazz
Can only guess that Jazz was on about the 300 - 350 K range and from some reports , Kobe "s Manly deal is more then that and if considerably more , could be a bit of a negative there
Although , guess also that if the cap is increasing by about 10 % next season , can cut a bit of slack with some higher contract value but again , ideally not markedly more
And even with a direct positional role comparison , no reason why Hetherington can not cover 13 , 9 or prop roles , just like Jazz was used
Haven 't seen much of him at all but apparently a goer , thought that he may have been a bit more then 95 Kgs but if the case , even more reason for him to replicate a Jazz type previous role but maybe not the best option as a starting prop

Yep, Kobe is pretty much a like for like replacement for Jazz, at a higher price. Younger, so more upside longer term I guess.

Age difference could well be an upside but Jazz was one tough dude who really tried to put in .
Maybe not a lot of footy smarts and not great lateral defence [ Jazz ] but again , certainly made up for it in other ways
Not sure if it could occasionally go the way how Jazz used to start as the 9 then Simpkin coming on but probably the time has definitely come on a more permanent basis for Simpkin to start and be on the field for the majority of a game
Had a previous post earlier on about Hetherington maybe being essentially a like for like for Jazz and just seemed like some of the attention recently has been more using him in a single type role instead of the versatility that he is more likely to provide
