Latu Fainu

Will the Tigers move him on when he fronts the board, they have plenty of depth in the halves and if Richo is serious about getting them off the bottom of the ladder he may sack Latu and the two other players that fronted up out of condition.

They certainly don't need him, Galvin and Luai will be their first choice halves pairing. The Dragons surely want him more now.

Not too sure on Latu 's present suitability for i st grade but injury free and match ready , should still have the makings of a reasonable standard half .
Maybe could find playing as a 6 again , his better role but not on a regular basis with the Tigers as things now seem .
Looked like he previously measured up well defensively and was rated one of the better attacking players in the juniors .
May have to consider going to another club if his form can warrant it but in all likelihood without brother Sam . Certainly will not be Manly
Looks like Manly have a lot of confidence that Joey Walsh will make the grade soon and possibly has some good level organizing skills as well as hopefully all round ability .
No change with the notion that it would have been really preferable to have retained Sam Fainu for say in the 400 K range but for those clear range of factors , just not feasible

All true Al, but imo has many similar attributes to Manase and could be a very handy 9 also 💡

Don't think he'd survive playing hooker, he's pretty much injury prone as it is now. And to think we wasted 900k over 3 seasons on a then 16yr old Latu, then, for whatever reason to see the Tigers pick him up. Sometimes over investing in juniors can backfire bigly.

I am afraid I can't agree about Samuela. He has multiple drink-driving offences, multiple driving while disqualified offences, potentially the last in 2023 but maybe he was just lucky enough not to get caught in 2024. Either way, speaks poorly to either his character or decision-making capacity. Excellent chance that all will end in tears. My feeling is that ultimately whatever NRL career he has will prove not worthy of the time, effort and money invested upon him: a worthy epitaph for all of the Fainus.

Would take Samuela back in a heartbeat.

He will be elite.,
