Lehi Hopoate

I'm sure he is a good fella - but his show is painful for mine.

All the sniggering and in jokes between him and the boys. Was funny maybe 25 years ago. Not for me.
Matty does have young fans . Plenty of young female ones as well 🙂

That is misusing so many players strengths to accommodate a guy who looks pedestrian at times.

Hopoate is the future at fullback when Tom's contract is up tbh, he can move to the centre's and take a paycut to reflect it's not 2021 anymore. At least if he goes down at centre that's a lot easier to replace than a spine player. Not to mention young Hoppa is actually ready for week in, week out first grade - he looks the goods and has been pretty durable.
Whether he plays centre or FB, we still have the same issue. I.e. he could go down at any moment, thus carrying the right type of bench player would need to be considered

Young fella was stoked to get this last weekend

I stopped listening to Matty a long time ago, especially his radio show, all he talks about is Drugcastle's 97 GF win , and also how Chris Anderson took his team to the pub to thrash out their problems before the 95 GF.

Buzz is back in Politis' good journos club, and also something tells me Lehi is never going to do a DCE...

NICK BEATS BLOCK PLAY

Roosters boss Nick Politis was delayed for 45 minutes getting out of the VIP carpark at Brookvale Oval last Sunday in terrible weather when his vehicle was blocked in by another car.

Security had difficulty locating the driver.

Turned out it belonged to Manly Sea Eagles fullback Lehi Hopoate.

And young Hoppa was in no condition to move it – he’d been knocked out during the game in the incident involving Roosters fullback James Tedesco.

A Manly staff member grabbed the keys and moved the car - and Politis happily headed home with the two competition points.

Lehi you legend

We should have only let him out if he agreed not to backflip on the DCE deal. Otherwise his Maserati stays where it is.

In case any of you are interested, these guys, The RL Eye Test, and the Maroon Observer (unfortunately of the Queensland variety), do some incredible data analysis for the NRL. They've teamed up to predict the Dally M medal winner based upon their data analysis methods. It's a good read.

Obviously there is some flaws in how the Dally M counting results in representing stand out players in average teams, but it's still a good indicator for who carries teams.

Anyway, from what these guys were able to assemble (having been quite accurate in the past), they showed Lehi Hopoate as finishing in the Top 5 for the final Dally M count. Unbelievable for a second year player. Better than DCE, Turbo, Haumole, anyone else in our team.

The guy is a superstar. Give him Saab's contract until 2029... He deserves every cent of it.
