Lehi the 1 Turbo centre

Both players played really well in the Pacific championship.

But Lehi needs to be our fullback next year and Tom can roam at centre.
Koula the other centre.
Ruben wing, Talau wing.

Turbo was such a threat in origin and the tests at centre and Lehi will be a great fullback.
I was thinking that Tom would more likely get injured more easily playing centre. I could be wrong. I am just glad he’s on the field.

Just put Turbo at hooker… we are determined to play everyone but a hooker there, so may as well give Turbo a go. 🤷‍♂️
Move him to Lock. More defense, less running, more ball playing, less chance of injury!!! Bully alongside Olakau’atu.

Still some general opinion , well from some N R L commentator perspective and some Manly quarters, that Manly "s best shot in any finals run would require Turbo at close to his best from full back but not sure that it is going to pan out that way.
Might to able to keep on gaining more confidence and performance level but just those lingering doubts that it could all go backwards again at full back and the playing demands largely playing there .
Lehi is most likely still a better option defensively at one and when he can be engaged to best effect in attacking plays , most times gets it pretty right and a problem for opposition defences .
In the meantime , Turbo to use his still deceptive running ability to also trouble defences either side of the ruck in a roving centre role .
Good if he can step up his defensive reads and anticipation a bit but again , hopefully some fairly prompt improvement not too far away .
Talau and Garrick can also offer some more then worthwhile input partnering Koula in the centres but the best balance looks like continuing with the present setup
Still can not see any upside with Lehi playing in the centres , less room to move and to maximize his abilities apart from the hit up requirements there these days

I think if turbo is playing in the centres and we are apparently negotiating his contract post 2026 puts the club in a better position to offer him lower money and pass the scrutiny of the NRL. As a fullback the NRL may not accept that say $750k is his value but as a centre it is more likely to be accepted. Just a theory…
