I agree our season is done for 2016. I'd like to see the following changes:

1. Snake and Skivvy retire with Killer
2. We test Api or Nico at 5/8 to see what we have there.
3. If the above fails, bring a solid veteran in for 2 years until someone like Wright is ready
4. Play with more depth in the attacking structure.
5. If Trent can't demonstrate improvement, release and go after Walker Bros, Cleary or Des for 2017

Finally, since Snake will likely do his customary hamstring this week I'd suggest this as our lineup moving forward:

1. T. Turbo
2. B. Williams
3. M. Wright
4. D. Walker
5. J. Taufau or other
6. A. Koroisau
7. D. Cherry-Evans
8. D. Lussick
9. M. Parcel
10. S. Vave
11. M. Tapau
12. J. Buhrer
13. J. Turbo

14. A. Founa-Blake
15. F. Mateo / L. Knight
16. N. Myles
17. L. Brown

Snake has been a cancer this season. Even if his effort was up to par, he is in and out so frequently it is messing with chemistry. The same is occurring with Skivvy. Both legends, but for the long term good of the club it's time to go boys.

That team is spoon worthy, without a doubt the worst 3/4 line in NRlL maybe ever.

I must add that it highlights our recruiting needs.

We just need 17 new players, a coach and coaching director. Plus a CEO.

Jeez mate that's not much of a shopping list !

Well we need at least 25. I am saying 8 of those are OK.

Is there more,maybe I missed a couple.

Sadly , there's probably not 17 on the market, and in coaches I can only think of Cleary who isn't currently working that " might" suit, as to a CEO, I imagine plenty of them about.

Son Of Bob will be our next coach, its already been decided.

time for younguns in specialist positions
That may be the silver lining in all of this. So many out we may have to try young blokes in specialist positions. I am just about over seeing a shuffling of the same old deck chairs like the last 2 years which provides no long term future. Give the young blokes a go in their specialist positions. Look at Mitchell and his replacement today,Moylan, Tedesco,Cleary played last night, Bryce Cartwright ... The list goes on. Zero to lose.

If they are not up to it yet,we find out . Nothing lost.id pick Hynes at 5/8 for sure but i bet they go for the two hookers (Api and Godinet) or put walker back to 6 which will be last straw for me and I have been willing to cut Barrett some slack previously . If not Hynes then Turbot at 6.Not his regular position but we need him with his hands on the ball.

Im as positive as any on here but we will not make the eight with these 4 injuries to big name players in the last 2 days. We need to experiment and play some f..ing football. These younger guys like Knight and Hynes getting flogged in Reserve grade each week is probably just as detrimental as possibly not being up to scratch in first grade. At least they may learn something.

Enough Excuses...I had a feeling this would happen.

They replaced a winning coach in Toovey, to keep a troubled player in Foran who left anyway, and has caused issues elsewhere. Myles has never cut it at club level, Lewis is a fringe player, Koroisau is inconsistent, Lussick has no work ethic or real impact, and Barrett is not Manly, that matters at our club. We have dismissive people in charge such as dork penn and try hard Kelly who show contempt toward the supporter base; lack lustre development as is proven by our lower grades; poor coaching staff in the inexperienced and weak kneed Barrett, Penrith Cartwright and the defensive messiah Anthony Seibold, yet we leak points like a siv. Williamson and Randall share a brain. We have a disgusting fat, degenerate, sinister, grimey slob in zorba peters calling shots along with that opportunist fulton. We replaced a proven entity in Don Singe, for a bearded hipster in Dan Ferris. We have over hyped the Trbojevic's and Parcell, they are not there, and should never have been discussed in such glowing terms minus any real achievement. Barrett keeps Fonua-Blake in reserve grade??? Seriously

we need a miracle. Barett show pony, fancy saying it is going to get worst, REALLY

This ragtag bunch of pathetic garbage is finished and the season is over.

No more excuses for 5 day turnarounds, or players out, or tired players. This team is garbage and will run between 12th and 15th this year.
The Manly management dismantled a great team and build a squad of rejects that management were stupid enough to fall into buying. All because they had a mission to hate Toovey.

Dylan Walker is garbage and weak.
Nate Myles is Nate nothing
Lightweight Lewis will never be anything more
Korisau is a Sau
Will-I-am-me should never have played 1st grade
Tapau should be given back because he is a dope
Barrett cannot coach and was just as foolish a signing as everyone else above. Welcome to 1st grade, you wont be here long.

Watch tapes of the golden age ladies and gentlemen, it will take 5 years to get a competitive squad back. At least we got to enjoy it.

This season was gone when Toovey was sacked.

I too would love to see some young guys blooded in First Grade.

Maybe Barrett's hands are tied though, re the 2nd tier salary cap.

There are more factors at play than just promote anyone and everyone.

Of our first grade regulars.....

Steve Matai - Shoulder (surgery = possibly the season)
Brenton Lawrence - Pectoral muscle (season)
Jorge Taufua - Collar bone (infection - 2-4 weeks)
Daly Cherry-Evans - Ankle (4-6 weeks)
Jamie Lyon - Hamstring (4 weeks)
Lewis Brown - Hamstring (monitored - may be ok to play)
Feleti Mateo - Calf strain (only minor and should be available)

We basically have about 1/3 of our side unavailable for selection due to injury and Taupau is also out as he is suspended until Round 15 against the Titans.

I can honestly see this weeks team against Penrith being:

Stewart, Wiliame, Walker, T.Trbojevic, Wright, Mateo, Koroisau, Lussick, Parcell, Myles, Brown, Buhrer, J. Trbojevic. Res - Starling, Vave, Fonua-Blake, Leary.
